"This has by far been the worst experience I have ever had at a dentist office. I’ll begin by mentioning that I had 2 of us scheduled to be seen and due to construction on 90 and an accident, we arrived 11 minutes late. I called the office 5 minutes after our scheduled time and informed them of the situation. While on the phone, the front desk didn’t say a thing until she started talking about rescheduling to which I was shocked since I was minutes away. Apparently, they have a 10-minute late policy, which was never discussed. We were then scheduled to come in another day and when we arrived, we were not taken back until 11 minutes after our scheduled time. This is hypocritical and just plain bad policy. In addition to this, we were informed that they were only going to do x-rays and some other basic things for the adult (not an actual cleaning) but my child would get a cleaning. This is a horrible business practice to waste people’s time from work, so I canceled my appointment but still let my child be seen for a cavity and cleaning. Here’s the even more infuriating part… I get an EOB for the cancelled appointment to which they tried to bill my insurance $116 dollars for the missed appointment. In addition to this, my child’s EOB is showing being charged for “nutritional counseling”, “oral hygiene instructions”, and “topical application of fluoride”. The first two were never discussed and fluoride was never applied because we rejected the application since we don’t use it in our household. They also tried to charge for missed appointments ($67 for the rest of my household). Be careful whom you choose as your dentist. I have already filed a complaint with my dental insurance and am in the process of filing a complaint with the Attorney General for fraudulent charges and charges related to missed appointments, which were never discussed."
"TLDR; negative review based on no privacy, severely untrained staff and few available appointments or no immediate treatment options Open floor concept, so no individual rooms for patients. I received both a text and call reminder for a 3p appointment. Arrived 5 minutes late, waited visibly in a two person line, and was told that they couldn’t fulfill my appointment because I was more than 10 min late. When I told them that my appointment was scheduled at 3p and showed them the confirmation texts, I was told that I needed to arrive earlier than the specified time. When I stated that I was willing to wait in the lobby, I was told that I supposedly never confirmed my appointment. I say ‘supposedly’ because it was now obvious that the receptionist was finding excuses to not fulfill my appointment. I told her that I had confirmed my appointment via text a week or so prior. I also stated that I received a voicemail to confirm my appointment and that I had left the office a voicemail confirming my appointment. Still, the receptionist wasn’t budding with her story. Not even a basic “I apologize, there must’ve been a mix up in our system”. I’ve been rescheduled multiple times from other providers no problem, but when you start making excuses up to blame the clients -who pay you- that’s just bad business practice Needless to say, I missed work and paid for a sitter for nothing. It was even more disappointing that the next available appointment was 3+ months away. Luckily, my previous provider had filled their dental position (which is why I went to Advantage, to begin with) so I was able to be seen by them within a few days."
"The staff was very friendly and helpful. The wait wasn't long at all and they were very thorough with my sons dental procedures. I am very happy I was contacted by them. They also did a great job with my 4 year old."
"We are all satisfied with all the associates at Advantage Dental. They made the kids feel comfortable through the whole process and gave us good info to care for their teeth. We definitely recommend them and plan on going back again:)"
"Just based on scheduling and first impressions, since we haven't even been seen yet, had an appointment scheduled for my daughter for this morning which was her first dental visit, they called yesterday to confirm but I missed the call, they emailed and sent me a text this morning to confirm, which I did, get there and am told that because they didn't confirm over the phone they had to reschedule and apparently the text the sent me this morning wasn't good enough. Why would you send a text to confirm, say all is good, then not bother to text or call if you aren't going to accept the confirmation by text? Ended up rescheduling for another day but not great for a first impression. I understand you have no shows which takes away from others being able to be seen but I showed up 20 min before the appointment and couldn't be seen at our scheduled time."
