Dr. Renuka Ramappa 5321 Grand Boulevard, New Port Richey, FL 34652

"Took my wife here for her first, and last appointment. Staff was friendly and helpful enough. Like others have said, Doctor's bedside manner is non-existent. But we came here for a diagnosis. She was fast and to the point. Accent not much of an issue. She seems experienced to the point, where she was adamant about surgery. We got a second opinion. And her diagnosis, though not entirely wrong. Lacked the preliminary testing to recommend surgery for a 5 minute exam. It seems her experience outshines her to the point. That she seems to come across dismissive, when dealing with patients. This unfortunately, along with the other characteristics. That people have complained about prevents her from receiving a higher rating. And a proper diagnosis that can be substantiated with communication and testing."

"I do not recommend going here. After today i will be looking for a new obgyn. I have had maybe 2/3 appointments here and they all just got worse and worse.They are super unprofessional, rude and unsanitary. the receptionist was very rude to my mother over the phone and when we got there. We waited in the waiting room for about 20 minutes, and while we were sitting waiting it was unbelievable. the nurse/receptionist were all talking about patients outloud, everyone in the room could hear everyone’s personal business. not just patients name, but down to what was wrong with them/ payment information/ even the medications they are using. that is confidential and should not be talked about outloud so that everyone in the waiting room can hear. after they called me back, the one nurse was nice and took my weight, asked me questions and sent me into the other room. she quickly changed the paper on the bed and then set out everything the doctor needed on the counter, and walked out. then as i’m sitting there waiting i noticed blood on the counter, and down the side of the cabinets. very disgusting. i was only waiting maybe 5 minutes before the doctor walked in, which wasn’t that bad of a wait time. she asked me my age and began to do her “exam”. she took not even a full minute to finish. she didn’t even use everything the nurse had set out for her to use. and she didn’t have me pee in a cup like i was told i needed to do.She walked out and didn’t say anything to me at all. i was super surprised that she hadn’t even talked to me and did her exam so quickly and it was pretty painful. i walked out of the room (assuming i was done since the doctor just walked out) and my mom met me at the counter. the lady handed us prescriptions, didn’t say what they were for, how to use them, or why i even needed them. we couldn’t even read the handwriting on the prescription, it was just scribble. As we were walking out to the car my mom noticed blood down my leg , (WHICH WAS NOT MINE) this place doesn’t even deserve 1 star."

"I would not wish the experience I had in Dr. Renukas office on my own worst enemy. I am left feeling disgusted and in alot of pain. She has absolutely NO bedside manners, and is unbelievably rough to the point of bringing tears to my eyes during my examination. I went in to speak about my options in trying to conceive as a high risk case, my appointment lasted 5 minutes and she answered not a single one of my questions! She should not have a license and i hope my post helps guide another woman SOMEWHERE ELSE , ANYWHERE ELSE but to her office."

"Dr. Ramappa is the most caring doctor I have ever met. My children also see her husband who is an amazing pediatrician. I was having terrible stomach pains and ended up in the hospital. After many tests were performed, the conclusion was that my Mirena IUD was stuck in my abdomen. The hospital sent me home and told me to follow up with the on call doctor. That doctor would not help me and told me he wasn't qualified to see me! The pain would not stop, I ended up back in the hospital and they still would not help me. I went to a different hospital, and they told me to follow up with the doctor who put the IUD in. I went to that doctor (who also delivered my daughter who I trusted very much) and his front desk turned me away as well! 2 hospitals and numerous doctors later I found Dr. Ramappa. She was so caring and concerned for me. She immediately scheduled me for surgery to remove it. I was crying because I was scared, and she put her hand on my shoulder and told me everything was going to be ok and not to worry. She reassured me that she would take care of me. She saw me before the surgery and told me how she was going to do everything and then also talked to my family once I was in recovery. I would recommend her to EVERYONE! When no other doctor or hospital would help me and do their job, she was the only one who stepped up and helped. I am very grateful that there are still caring people in this world."

"Dr. Ramappa may have been a good doctor at one time, a long time ago. However, her time has passed and I think it may be time for her to retire. The woman has no bedside manner and is brutal with a speculum. She does not give proper pelvic exams (just a quick jam inside in some random pelvic space), nor does she explain anything to patients. I had been a patient for more than three years but fortunately found a new, more capable, surprisingly gentle, male gynecologist in the nearby vicinity. I do not understand how she is still practicing or how she is allowed to practice being that she is as cold and rude as she is to her patients."
