"Both of my kids started Soccer Gemz at 2 years old and love it! The coaches keep the classes fun and engaging, and the kids learn new skills each week. I like that the program is organized and well staffed."
"Our 5 year old son has participated in a few sessions and we have enjoyed the experience. The coaches make it a fun and exciting time. At the beginning he had some difficulty in participating. The coaches would gently persuade him into playing, but gave him space when he had enough. Now he gets right in there and is building confidence with his new friends."
"This is our second year Soccer gemz And we love it! The coaches are all very attentive and take the extra time to help my son stay focused And help him have a really good time! Coach Beth and Coach Carlos have Also, really helped my son Paying extra attention to him he is the youngest on the team, so I really appreciate the time that they take with him. We will be back every year!"
"We have been participating in soccer gems for over a year now and love it! The coaches take the time to get to know the players and there is a great sense of teamwork in each session we attend! Highly recommended!"
"I've been meaning to write this review for quite a while. My son, Gabriel, is 4 years old and today completed his third session with SoccerGemz. So, I feel I can speak from a series of experiences over a decent period of time. Last year, when we began, it was my son's first organized team sports experience. Suffice it to say, it has been a genuinely wonderful experience for both him and me. There are a number of reasons why. I'll write this from the perspective of what I'd want to read if I were a parent trying to vet a place for my child. 1. First and foremost, we have been blessed with the PERFECT COACH - Coach Beth - who I just learned celebrated her 2-year anniversary with SoccerGemz. They are immensely lucky to have her. She is the ideal blend of organization, passion, patience, supportive, inclusivity, and above all else...fun and respectful. My son absolutely loves her - she's great at setting expectations (for both children and parents), reinforcing big picture skills and character traits, but also letting kids be kids. She knows the kids well, not just their strengths, but also how to reach each child and be mindful of their needs. There are also a number of coaches that will pair with her during a given session, and she's great with all of them...and some who were partnered with Beth of a while were awesome as well (namely Jonathan)...but the consistency of having Beth throughout was the difference maker. I was eager to continue for session after session primarily because of her. 2. Despite my absolute praise for Coach Beth, the organization seems very well put together. I've interacted with other coaches and the people who play an overarching role with organization of the sessions. They all give the impression they want to be there, they like being there, and they enjoy hanging out with the kiddos. So, I feel as though you would get a great experience with many of the coaches. Moreover, I've felt well-informed and well taken care of during the obligatory pre-session meeting, picture day, etc. I've really got nothing negative to say. 3. I like the blend of activities within each week. There's stretching and warm-up sprints, obstacle courses, fun games to encourage dribbling and shooting, scrimmages...and especially during the summers, they give very frequent breaks for the little ones to get water and check in with their fan base. The balance is perfect for my son's age group. I imagine that structure comes from SoccerGemz, so they've got a good recipe for what seems to work well for most kids. 4. I've also felt very lucky that the other parents, family members, and kid shave just been excellent. Coach Beth immediately requests a parent volunteer who can organize weekly drinks and snacks for the coaches and kids after each session - and parents have instantly signed up a deliver, which just makes it all smooth. The parents also cheer as much for other children as they do their own, which has made it a treat for our little stars of the show. So, as you can see, although my son, at times, has been as likely to be wearing a cone on his head, turning a soccer ball into an ice cream cone, or doing cartwheels as he has been actively engaged in soccer drills, he has learned a lot about the game and interacting with others, has met some cool new kids and supportive parent cheerleaders, and has had FUN. Coach Beth has been a boatload of icing on the cake, but I think everyone's experience (even with other coaches) has been a very positive one. I've included a few pics below - it'll be easy to identify Coach Beth (and my son, of course). Like so many of us, I'm crazy busy with work, family, etc. I would never have taken the time to write this lengthy review if I didn't believe in what I was saying. Thanks to SoccerGemz and a special thanks to Coach Beth!"
