"The office manager Irina at the coral way location responsible for payment handling should be held accountable for her wrong doing. I was billed an excessive and inaccurate amount due to her failure to correctly submit insurance codes and provide an accurate itemized list of charges. Her reluctance to issue a refund and avoidance of my calls displayed unprofessional behavior. I made multiple attempts to seek clarification and resolution, but I was forced to submit a claim through my insurance to obtain the necessary assistance. It was always be calling to get a better understanding to sort out the inaccurate charges and the manager avoided it or never called me to make an effort to fix the issue. She eventually said she overcharged and would issue a credit that didn’t even amount to what I was actually owed. Months later after going through my insurance to get this resolved. I had my follow up appointment, I made sure that I didn’t have to pay anything and they confirmed they were refunding me. I come in and the manager had a post it and she wrote down that I owed more money and was not getting a refund. After wanting to speak to her higher up, she then told a doctor that she believed that she charged me that high amount because the doctor was out of network. However, the dental office is considered in my network for my insurance. She failed to state that to me. She made different excuses each time. At this point I couldn’t believe what was happening. This experience has left my family and me deeply disappointed, especially given our longstanding relationship with your practice. 5 stars for Dulce, a dental assistant we hold in high regard, has always demonstrated kindness and professionalism. Unfortunately, due to the actions of the manager at the Otero Dental location, we have a change of heart."
