"I freaking hate Smith. I did not ask to be in the after-school and summer programs, but my abusive mother forced me to go. There I was relentlessly bullied by teenagers who were older than me at the time and assaulted by them. The staff are nothing but sadistic bullies who blamed me for my pain. Some were even physically abusive when they threw me down and barred me on a mat to the point I had bruises on my arms. One staff member even went as far as throwing my head against the wall and giving me a bloody nose, and they blamed me for that and one even went as far as kicking me in the chest twice and he a black belt martial artist at the time mocked me for that and so did the other kids. Even "Ms. Stephanie" will tell my mother and the abusive boyfriend at the time of my "bad behavior" adding more to my pain at home. I still have memories I want to forget from my time there, but I can still feel the pain, hear the insults, and see the faces they made when I cried. I was a kid struggling with ADHD/Autism, What did I do to be treated like that? If it were up to me, the whole organization would burn to the ground and the staff never be around children or even have children. BURN SMITH COMMUNITY MENTAL HEALTH!!! BURN!!!"

"This place and the provided therapist has brought great light at the end of the tunnel for my son whom faced many difficult health challenges and needed someone who actually cared and spent valuable time to be there for him. I would recommend Smiths to anyone with a child in need, one thinks it's crazy people that seek counsel, that is a misconception. There are many things that happen in our lives and sometimes just a listening,attentive ear that's confidential helps us out. So I say today Smiths does a great job, they are flexible and definitely gives a helping hand."

"I have a very mixed review. The CAT team members in the field that I worked with are and always will be considered among the best humans to have on your side working with your family through various challenges. They are individuals with care, compassion, dedication, integrity and anything else positive that you can think of. Furthermore, they are also among the hardest working. Quality humans and they deserve the best rating that anyone could give. However, I cannot say the same with regards to the management at Smith. This is important because they allowed one of their employees to remain working in the community while there was a conflict of interest in which the employee should have been pulled out of the field and supervised for having a conflicting role. I believe in the "Do No Harm" rule, especially when children are involved. Smith supported one of their employees that made false accusations against a parent that caused the parent to be removed from his home and forced on the street with 2 minor children. That's not the kind of leadership we need in the community. And it turns out that a complaint regarding the same employee was filed with the state for unethical behavior. Perhaps the leadership should take off the blinders."
