"When I arrived at Dr. Lara's office for my first appointment, I knew I was in the right place. Everyone is so incredibly kind and encouraging. They understand life happens and will talk about it with you if you don't have the greatest week. I chose Dr. Lara's office after years of telling other doctors my symptoms and being told it was just part of aging. I am so happy with the 12 week program that I am repeating it as I have quite a bit of weight to lose and it would not be healthy to do in the first 12 weeks. It is not just about the weight loss. I feel so much healthier, more energetic, and overall just feeling so much better. Life is becoming fun again. My tips for being successful: 1. Move a little each day, even if it is just for 15 minutes. 2. Don't box yourself in and get bored. Don't eat just plain chicken and a vegetable for your meals. There are so many great recipes on Dr. Lara's website. Also there are many recipes on the internet for some favorite comfort foods that work on the program. My favorite Dr. Lara recipes are the Blue Cheese and chicken salad, and the broccoli casserole. 3. Remember to be kind to yourself. You started this journey for you. We all have work, family obligations and other things in life. Always Celebrate the little things that may not be scale related. This can be your pants fitting looser to being able to take a longer walk one day. When I hit my goal weight, I will upload a before and after photo."
