"Dr. Upendram saved my life! I was transported to the ER at Englewood Hospital with an active heart attack. 7:00 am. Within an hour I had a stint and was completely out of pain. The follow up with his office was efficient, helpful and friendly. Thank you Dr. U!"
"If i could give them negative 100 stars i would! Took 6 pokes to get an iv for a stress test. Test came back abnormal, but didnt hear about it from them, rather my spine specialist. Had to scramble to find a cardio to find out what was up...in waiting to get into the new cardio, i had a heart attack. They blew my right femoral artery, needed a blood transfusion, got a blood infection, and a ginormous hematoma! Still have issues with my right groin! Never!!! Ever!!!"
"Although my experiences at the Englewood Cardiology Center have not been abysmal, they could have been far better. The staff or receptionists working behind the front desk of the office, were not as knowledgeable of the details of my appointments, conditions, or insurance, during my follow up appointments (by this time, they should have possessed a better grasp of these details, as I'd already informed them) as they should have been, and when I reminded them of certain information (which they asked me to do), they became irritable. Sitting within the waiting room of the Englewood Cardiology Center, was a very unpleasant experience for myself and my parents, whom I am visiting, here in Englewood. As Americans of partially Italian descent, whose outward appearance reflects this ethnicity, we were being given very angry and unpleasant stares, which seemed to convey racist hostility, by the largely Anglo Saxon patients, of this office. Lastly, a woman named Doctor Dee, with whom I spoke about my cardiac and carotid arteries, was quite irritable, as her receptionist colleagues had been, as well. Dr. Dee was very reluctant and unwilling, to discuss my health concerns, beyond a level, with which she seemed to be comfortable (which was not a discussion of any great depth). I made the request that Dr. Dee call me by telephone, on four occasions, and she decided to comply with my requests, on merely one occasion. Considering that my Insurance was compensating Dr. Dee and her aforementioned colleagues, for their efforts upon my behalf, I do not feel that my requests were unreasonable, and my treatment by them, should have reflected that reasonable compensation and payment."
"Friendly staff and nice office space. Dr Pressman took his time with me to figure out the best course of action for my treatment. He is direct, honest, and knowledgable. Dr. Pressman did not make our appointment feel rushed as so many other practices have done. His nurse was very polite and went above and beyond, even giving me directions and the best way to expedite scheduling for radiology. A+"
"Front Office help keeps changing. Hard to maintain knowledgeable staff. The older professional staff are rude. Stay away from this place!! Cindy RN (Dr Upendram’s nurse) is the rudest condescending nurse. She lacks patient empathy and people skills. I needed surgery clearance for my mom and the front desk two times gave the surgeon’s office non working fax numbers. I was told the day before surgery it must be postponed because they don’t have clearance with her Plavix. I called and spoke to Cindy because she is my mom’s Drs Nurse. She didn’t waste anytime berating me. She was so condescending never acknowledging it was the Front desk that didn’t know the nurses working fax number. Never said sorry I will make sure I fix this. Nobody in nursing told front desk or The office manager didn’t tell the front desk? Miscommunication, rudeness, and lack of patient empathy. Not a good combination for an office that deals with patient."
