"Words can not really describe how appreciative I am to Dr. Hoyte and his dedicated staff. Dr. Hoyte was able to save me from having an unnecessary hysterectomy. I spent 7 months being shuffled doctor to doctor, who all had the same cold response and very inexperienced answer to a medical procedure that I felt deep down inside didn't require a hysterectomy. I felt hopeless, as I was on my fourth doctor, with the last one excited to do my procedure because as he said , "this will be fun for me ." After several tears, a friend recommended Dr. Hoyte so I took a chance and spoke with Mimi at The Pelvic Floor Institute, who was so understanding and helpful. She was able to get me scheduled with Dr. Hoyte. When I showed up for my appointment, I was greeted and welcomed by his staff and even as Dr. Hoyte walked in himself, he shook everyone's hand and welcomed them. I knew at that moment, I had found a caring doctor and staff.During my appointment, Dr. Hoyte, patiently listened to me and my wants. For the first time someone listened to ME and MY story and let me tell it completely without being rushed and before I knew it, I was able to have my procedure which did not include me losing my uterus . He is talented, extremely caring and the utmost professional . The staff is the best around. They all are very understanding and go above and beyond to make sure you have all the information you need. An absolute wonderful experience from first office visit to post op visit."
"After going through very extensive testing for many months/visits, it was determined that I was a candidate for sling surgery. Zami and Alexis were always so sweet each time I had any encounters with them and made me feel very comfortable. After the surgery, Dr. Hoyte requested that I call him the night after I returned home from surgery at 7:00 p.m. I called him exactly on time and he answered acting as though I was bothering him and told me that he was trying to eat dinner with his family. I asked him one simple question and he abruptly responded to just read the paperwork and then ended the call; his treatment was unnecessary. This was not very professional and not something you want to experience from your doctor after a surgery. He's the one that had instructions to call him on the release paperwork. Unfortunately, the surgery was not successful and I was having MUCH worse issues with additional issues to add on top of it now. Dr. Hoyte recommended a second surgery to correct the issues from the first surgery. So, after going through all of that, I had to endure another surgery a few months later. Unfortunately, that surgery did not work either and it's been two years and I am still having the same issues that I had after the first surgery. I won't go in to detail but these are life altering issues. I think about this every day and wish I had NEVER had this surgery. I am writing this review so that if anyone is considering bladder surgery because they have a slight inconvenience in life, I would recommend that that you reconsider. I think Dr. Hoyte tried to do the best he could but I wish I could go back in time. He said he wouldn't leave me like this...but he did. My issues are continually getting worse but I am terrified to get a second opinion because I know the recommendation will be for yet another surgery."
"This office literally saved me! I am a concierge believer! I had advanced vaginal prolapse, and couldn't get an appointment with a Gynecologist for several months after being diagnosed in the ER. Then had to wait another 4 months to see a Urogynocologist (who was highly recommended). By that time, my organs were literally falling out of my body. I couldn't walk, I was in pain, I could hardly leave the house. Then at my second appointment the Urogynocologist told me that I was too overweight for surgery. That I needed to lose weight before she could see me again. I spent the next couple of months unable to lose enough...not being able to exercise, indeed not even being active around the house. So I decided to seek a second opinion. Dr. Hoyte's name kept popping up...on every internet search I started, on my insurance site, even nurses at Tampa General mentioned that he was their doctor! So I called! I was nervous, expecting to wait months...But I was blessed to speak with Mimi! As i tried to explain my problem, she was SO WONDERFUL! She was understanding, and kind, loving, even. And she worked around the schedule and got me in the following week! And the miracle didn't stop there...I walked in the door for my appointment and met Kim, the office manager/Concierge liaison. She could tell i was nervous and took me by the hand, sat me down and let me unload all my fears and concerns; she treated me with some of her essential oils and calmed me down. Then I met the great man himself! Dr. Hoyte listened respectfully, then talked to me about what he could do for me. He put together a plan for short term and long term goals...surgery, rehab, hormone therapy, weight loss. And he's making it ALL happen! I'm two months out from surgery and I'm me again!!! Better than i have been for a year or more! As it turns out the prolapse was only part of my problem! During surgery he found more issues and corrected all of it! I have now healed without a hitch! And the hormone replacement have given me so much more! The entire office knew what I needed, what I was facing and healed me inside and out, with love, knowledge, and respect! They are available to me whenever I need support or when i have questions. Dr. Hoyte actually reminds me to text him directly! Thank you so much for being in the world!"
"The surgery outcome and care I received from Dr. Hoyte and staff was exceptional. Dr. Hoyte is very empathic and did not give up when dealing with my complex disease. Prior meeting Dr. Hoyte my symptoms were dismissed and I learn to live with them for years. I accepted my situation until a friend shared information about existence of a very good urogynecologist Dr. Hoyte. He listened attentively to my concerns and provided personalized treatment that yielded positive results in very short time! The entire team at the clinic displayed a high level of professionalism and made me feel comfortable throughout my visits. I highly endorse Dr. Hoyte and his office team for their excellent service and expertise."
"From Suzanne Peterson. If you have any female problems or issues, the Pelvic Floor Institute is the place in which to come. The staff is fabulous and caring. They put the patients before anything else. For example, I called after the clinicians had left for the day (Friday, late afternoon) but Mimi took my call. I was so happy to talk to her and explained my issue. Although she couldn't advise me on what to do, she held 2 spots for me until a clinician could follow-up with me on Monday. Thank you, Mimi, for caring for me and making sure I had an appointment in the beginning of the following week. Ashley and Tammy were also fantastic. They cared about me when I came in this week and made sure my needs were met, as I have other physical issues. They also made sure my husband was comfortable as he stayed to hear Dr. Hoyte's answers and recommendations. Thank you, Ashley and Tammy, for your kindness and expertise. Dr. Hoyte is the person you want to see for any female problems. He is a gentleman; a caring man who is THE expertise in his field. I would recommend him to anyone because he will be honest and encouraging in diagnosing a problem and he has my best interests in mind regarding any recommendations. This team of professionals is worth going to, even if it is far from your home. We live in Florida and it took us about 2 hours to travel there - but worth every mile of the journey. God bless you all at the Pelvic Floor Institute!"
