"Avoid this office at all costs. I am an amputee and this place is the worst! If you are looking for any services that hanger Clinic may offer, I highly suggest you look elsewhere. When I originally looked into going here I saw the picture posted on Google of the front of the building(I have attached a screenshot of the only 4 pictures that come up on Google maps. I saw the first 2. FYI there is not a single picture available online of the actual office inside that hanger occupies. Not even on there website) This led me to believe the entire building in the picture was for hanger Clinic or at least the entire first floor. There's not even a sign. After all my 11 years as an amputee I had heard from multiple people whenever the topic came up Hanger hanger hanger. So I expected a nice facility. This was anything but that. When I arrived and had to pay at a parking meter I realized it is in a larger commercial hospital/medical type building. Hanger has only a small rinky dink office. So this... Is the amazing "hanger". I've seen nicer fast food rest rooms than this hole in the wall. Seriously it's a joke. I would explain where the entrance you're supposed to enter is but I'm not doing this business any favors. Unless you plan on using a valet do not use the front entrance. Prior to my first visit I was not told where the entrance is/was, nothing about a valet, paid or free parking. So good luck navigating the building. I will tell you this, I had to walk a block back to my car to check on the meter before I was even seen by the "prosthetist". This place is obviously the equivalent of a lawyer chasing an ambulance. They opened it close enough to bayfront hospital to get easy patients. They do not care about you as an individual. You are a medicare number to them. The prosthesist Robert is one of the nastiest people I have ever had the displeasure of meeting."
"Having dealt with several clinics I can say they are my favorite. Techs are capable and explain everything. Your appt is not rushed and they make sure you u understand. Highly recommend. I'd give 5 star but had an issue... Still recommend."
"UNPROFESSIONAL and DIRTY. If you’re coming here to have your child fitted for a helmet, go somewhere else. Cranial tech in Tampa is far superior, has updated technology, clean, and friendly. Can’t stress enough about how unprofessional and dirty Hanger Clinic is."
"I use to like this place but every year I'm months behind getting one doggone pr of shoes. I'm suppose to get them in December, it's June and appts are weeks ahead. Finally after almost four (4) months I got my diabetic shoes. Running back & forth with a bad hip has ragged my nerves, even after the guy FORGOT to order the new ones I requested a month ago. Here a month later & GEEZ!! . And to top it off I have to catch public transportation and they couldn't find "ONE" bag to put 1 pr of shoes in???? Poorly managed or just ignorance on stocking up bare necessities.... like BAGS???"
"Hanger Clinic I sat on this review for about a month. I didn’t want to write a bad review which I would later regret for some reason. Well, I think it’s an entirely appropriate review and I could help others with it. Here goes. Interaction with this clinic (in Tampa Bay/St Pete) provides two common examples of the things wrong with health care: a clinic that does not fully inform its patients and does not consider the patient’s pocketbook. Having significant osteoarthritis in my knee, I was told that I should get a knee brace by my doctor. I checked with my insurance carrier and was referred to Hanger Clinic. I set an appointment—it seemed odd that the appointment would be two weeks out but I thought, “OK at least I’ll get it handled” and did not seek out another possible clinic or provider. So, my fault. However, I was not fully informed. At the appointment, I was told there was nothing in stock. Zero. And that I would have to make another appointment another two weeks out when my brace would be available. (These braces are very commonly used and having some variety of sizes in stock was, I believe, a good assumption.) I was not told this when I set the appointment. So here’s the first problem: when I set the appointment, I should have been told there would be another appointment necessary and to set up TWO appointments right away. If I had known this clinic would not have anything in stock and that the delay in getting treatment would take a month or more, I would have checked with another provider. To top it off, the first appointment was at the end of the year. Yup, you guessed it: another deductible, more out of pocket. Again, something the clinic knew (or should have known) and discussed with me at the time I set the appointment. The take-away from my situation is this: do not go to Hanger Clinic and check out other options. Sidenote: A person can get an entirely new set of teeth—arguably needing much more customization than getting a knee brace—in just one day."
