AVC - Animal Vet Clinic

"I've had the same experience with the new vet. He was very cocky and unprofessional. The way he spoke to me made me feel very uncomfortable. I've been a client since they first opened. I called and reported my experience.I was very disappointed that I did not receive a call about my experience with this man. I won't be going back. I feel sorry for the staff. When the tech came back to the room, I could tell she had cried. She knew how inappropriate his verbal attack was. His name is Michael Sturgeon. I will not acknowledge him as Dr. A review from Shannon will also attest to my concern. Also, my sister in law had an appointment the day after.. Same experience with this man. She will be posting her experience as well. Dr. Marlene Pinera and the other staff have always been very caring and kind to my fur babies. No harm towards them in this comment."

"I have been coming here for 5 years and I have always been very pleased with the care. However there is a new doctor here and I will be leaving. He is very insensitive and rude. Seems to me like all he cares about is the money and they think that people are their personal piggy banks. They came in with a $665 estimate before they even looked at my dog. The assistant was awesome and I feel sorry for them that they have to work with this man."

"Very disappointed. Been using vet for a few years. Ordered flea meds and got call stating must come in every 3 months for refill. Last time I tried to go, I sat w/pet in lobby for several hours (had a scheduled appointment that I made well in advance) and never got to see anyone. Had to give up and leave. Now my pet does not have flea meds. Finding a different vet and wonder how they expect clients to get in every 3 months when they can't even manage to see the people/pets they schedule."

"AVC is the best. I used to go to their old clinic as well and always had a positive experience but I feel that since they moved to their new location and changed their name they have definitely stepped it up! Their facility is always clean and pleasant. The employees are terrific. They are friendly and helpful. I love that the vet techs introduce themselves as they take you back to an exam room. It give such a nice personal touch. They don't judge you if you decide to decline a particular service because you don't feel your animal needs it. I feel like they consider me a trusted partner in my dog's care. I love that they give you a printed invoice with your total before they provide services so you can approve the amount. I feel like my sweet boy Beau feels very comfortable there and that he's treated with the appreciation he deserves. I won't take my pets anywhere else! If I had only one constructive suggestion, it would be to allow a chat or a self-scheduling option on the website to allow customers to schedule their own appointments. I tried to go through the app but was unable to schedule without a phone call. My work doesn't always allow me to take time out for a phone call but I could multi-task if I had the ability to chat or self-schedule from the website."
