"I just took my daughter to Dr. Dragstedt for more extractions requested by the orthodontist. Who would have thought a child would get EXCITED about having teeth pulled??? My daughter's appointment--to have two permanent teeth with half-inch-long roots pulled--was at 10:50. It's now 1:57, and my daughter is singing and dancing around the house. We're really grateful for Grins & Giggles! Dr. Dragstedt and her team are kind-hearted, knowledgeable, and professional, and they really make things as easy as possible on the children."
"I've taken my 4-year-old there three times, 2 regular check-ups and 1 "emergency" visit (which I put it quotes because it wasn't really an emergency, just a small child learning what a sore in the mouth is). All of our visits have gone well. When we made her first appointment, we were asked which of the two doctors we preferred and we chose Dr. Dragstedt. She has been great! Really friendly and good with my daughter. The hygienists have also been great as well. They are very good with kids, and very understanding of the necessity of not pushing a child beyond what they're ready for. The fees can be a bit high, yes, but I think that's what you get with a dentist who specializes in children. Specializing in kids limits their customer base; they don't have many patients coming in and getting crowns or wisdom teeth pulled, so they don't have those people to essentially help subsidize regular cleanings. For a pediatric dentist, regular cleanings are their bread and butter, and constitute most of their work, so they have to price accordingly. This is an excellent place to take your kids and get them onto good dental practices early in their life."
