"The experience of Bak was over way too fast, just having graduated as a Strings Major. The strings program is very outstanding, with the conductor being one of my coaches for life and success. Bak shaped me into the musician I didn't think I could be. The academics are very challenging, but have a very great balance between work and play. The teachers are all very good, the staff is very supporting, and most of all, you can push as far as you want in your art area and academics with no set backs or limitations! Thanks for the great memories Bak!"
"i went to bak for 2 years and its a great school, but not for me .i have a problem with stress and its a very rigorous school. i had migraines daily and my grades dropped being so stressed i had depression.but i learned many things that i still take with me today now being in high-school being so used to stress its now a very easy for me to get straight A's . so if your child is healthy and can take the stress the school is amazing with no behavior problems as well as giving students the drive to succeed."
"Good school, teachers really nice, the visual arts program teaches you a lot of useful skills and promotes creativity. Bak used to be better in the older days, but it's still good. Update: I've heard from students currently at Bak and it appears that the school is not exactly a safe enviroment, and students are often unfairly punished. For instant, there was a shooting threat, the school shrugged it off."
"i'm a 7th grade communications major here and I love it so much. I will have to leave next year and that's really sad because i don't think I'll ever find a school that I can compare to Bak. I have made so many wonderful and diverse friends with different talents, and grown so much from both the art and academic programs. Overall, I think this school was the best thing that ever happened to me."
"Meh. That's the word you could use to describe this school. I tried out in 6th grade and I got in. So far, I was excited to go to theater and do things actively.. until I actually went in. The first few days of it was good, but then I realized something. Bak used to be one of the worst schools until they added auditions and stupid majors. Without those things, I'm sure nobody would dare come here. You might think everyone is creative, but it's surely the opposite. There are terrible, horrible, and excuse my french, BITCHY people here who will not stop talking about their ego. There had been so many stuck up people here that I left. I was so tired of the bullying and the meanness that I just.. left. Trust me, if your child is actually creative and has a chance of actually making it, DO NOT SEND THEM HERE! This will literally drain their happiness, and trust me, I was a witness. I didn't leave in 6th grade, but I finally took the courage to leave after. The teachers are good if you're lucky, they honestly don't care and if you fail, you fail. The teachers for the majors are okay, but the theater ones aren't that good at all. Mr. Valentine is amazing, but the rest are horrible. For instance, Mrs. Tepper literally throws kids and objects, gets angry for no reason, and worst I don't think I can even say on here. Please don't send your child here just because it's an audition school. It's horrible.. I had to leave and now I'm in virtual, which I love, but if you don't wanna end up like that, just listen. Please."
