MarineLab is an educational institution located at 51 Shoreland Drive in Key Largo, Florida, United States. Students from grades 5 through college can spend up to five days at our coastal campus, exploring the seagrass, mangrove, and coral reef habitats with mask, fins, and snorkel. Our STEM field trips offer both standard and advanced options, providing a hands-on learning experience.
For those unable to visit in person, we offer five different LIVE virtual marine science sessions led by our instructors, as well as free learning resources for classrooms. We also host marine science snorkeling summer camps, free Family Days, and STEM teacher professional development workshops. Scholarships are available for Florida Title I teachers to attend workshops through the Art Mitchell Memorial Fund.
Our instructors are highly knowledgeable, prepared, and patient, creating a memorable experience for all participants. "Absolutely perfect place. It was clean and not buggy at all. Amazing views, even better instructors (shoutout Mary and Captain Ken!) that get everyone involved with the learning. 11/10 would recommend for kids or adults! Got to do some awesome real world testing while also enjoying reef watching and swimming with sharks! Food is also amazing. Love the place and team! Learned lots!"
