"Loved trying and supporting this Jewish restaurant in Boca Raton. We shared the Matzo Ball soup and Rueben sandwich. Both were amazing and tasty. Shame to have negative reviewed in earlier posts. They are unwarranted."

"As one who’s been there over 100 times I was beyond disappointed in the filth that this restaurant demonstrated. When the manager was informed about the dirty dishes, the mixture of the soft drinks (syrup) being wrong, the delay for the food. All she could say was, she’s aware. It’s a shame that I’ll never be back."

"Sadly this great restaurant can’t keep up with the times. Today, Sunday, should have been a busy day for the restaurant. Instead the dining room was half empty; and we were told we had to wait a half hour to sit and be served because of low staff in the kitchen and the dining room. I wouldn’t go back because they can’t serve their clients anymore."

"Came in at 1pm on a Saturday. Restaurant was not busy, multiple servers appeared to be about. As a party of 3, we waited 10 minutes to just be acknowledged and seated, got our drinks, then waited 15 minutes without any further acknowledgement from any of the 3 or 4 servers. Others were seated and got their orders during this time. I placed a $10 on the table for our 2 sweet teas and we left. Being short staffed is understandable but 25 combined minutes of waiting while being acknowledged only one time and having our order taken zero times is completely unacceptable. Definitely not the TooJay’s of years past."

"TooJay's is a landmark restaurant in Boca with a long following and reputation. Well, ownership needs to wise up and make some changes, as the quality is heading down the tubes, which will take the reputation along with it. That means revenue and profits will shortly follow. Our salads took over 30 minutes to arrive, our entrees over an hour and 20 minutes, and our desserts (chocolate layer cake and cheesecake) were still frozen. The server NOT ONCE came during the meal to ask us if we needed anything. She didn't remove the used dinner plates from the table before serving dessert, nor did we get our drink refills until AFTER we were done with dinner. I complained to two different managers (I guess there was a shift change during our LONG visit there). The first, a 21yr old female. All she could do was shrug her shoulders and say they were short staffed. The second, an older gentleman. Again, all he could say was that they were short staffed and only had 1 cook, and that this was a 'learning experience.' Well news flash....your job as a manager is to MANAGE. Neither of you was managing the situation. If you had been, you would have been helping the staff with the orders, helping the cooks, etc. Standing behind the counter waiting by the register is not MANAGING. All in all, it was a very disappointing experience. The slew of negative reviews over the past 6 months clearly shows a pattern. And to the person monitoring these reviews...please don't leave another canned response like you've done to the other negative reviewers. It clearly shows you don't care about your customers."
