"The ICU at Miami Jackson South was beyond amazing. All of the nurses and doctors that attended to my father were kind and empathic. Unfortunately, nothing could be done to save my father however they eased the pain for my mom and me during the time he was in there."

"I am extremely disappointed about the service that I am receiving at the Emergency Care located in the Jackson South medical Center, and before the company answers my review I already sent an email to the email they eleTo make it simple there’s one guy named Alex (he is probably in his mid 20s and was wearing khaki scrubs) who definitely needs to be trained on how to treat people, he works at the registration counter. To my understanding, he never got a real training on customer service or simply on how to respect other people. I understand that we as people don’t feel good everyday, or that he was definitely having a bad day. But he for sure needs to understand that he can’t take it out on the people that visit the ER cause we are there for a reason and definitely not a good one. I am here to have my aunt checked out because she’s been having a terrible abdominal pain. We got here at 5:45pm, at 6:15pm she got called in, they took her blood pressure, took some blood samples and came back outside. Then they called her again at 7:00pm, because she was still in pain and nauseous they gave her some pain medication and some medication for her nausea, then came back outside. Between 6:30 pm and 10:00pm they took her to do a CT scan. It was 10:00pm and the pain was still there, the pain killer they gave her at 7 was definitely not effective. At this point we have tried telling the nurses the pain was not going away, and we started to get nervous and desperate because everything she’ll do it will causes pain. This is where the must upsetting part of the story begins, we asked this guy Alex on the front desk if they could give her something or if there’s something that could be done to accelerate the process of her being taken care of, note that we’ve been there for hours without any change, to what he answered that they could not provide anything else that she will have to wait for the doctor and that he will put “a note” something that I doubt he did because of his rude behavior. Another hour passes by and she still in pain and nothing else was done neither the doctor coming to see her or them providing another pain medication. So we decided to ask this guy Alex again, how long was it going to take for the doctor to see her, we again told this guy the pain she has been going trough since the day before, and to my surprise he completely ignored me he was very rude, he didn’t even look at my face while talking to me, he was just looking at the computer, he was basically ignoring me so I asked again maybe he didn’t heard me the first time, is the doctor going to take too long to see her and his answer was “No se” which means I don’t know in Spanish. To be honest I am not the kind of person that does this but ER is not a place where you go to have fun it’s a place you go because of necessity, he specially should learn how to properly treat people with respect. Not to mention that he was rude to everyone that will go to ask him a question, that he was most of the time on his phone or walking around, and you can definitely check the cameras today and these behaviors will definitely show. I write this email as I am still sitting here in the waiting area all this took place February 13 from 5:45 pm to only god knows when because it’s 2:36 Am in the morning and I am still sitting here. To be honest I am extremely disappointed on the behavior of this employee of yours and hopefully some actions will be taken accordingly. Beside this I also have to say that that ER is a complete mess, zero privacy, long waiting hours and to top it off the attitude of this guy Alex just HORRIBLE."

"I had an exceptional experience at Jackson South Emergency Room, where the staff made me feel like a part of their family. Special shoutouts to Sonia, the head nurse from the 2nd floor, and RN Michelle for their outstanding care. The facility was impressively clean, and every member of the team demonstrated the utmost professionalism. I highly recommend Jackson South Emergency Room for their welcoming atmosphere and top-notch healthcare service."

"Horrible experience!! Baptist is a way better option. They had my father sitting in a hallway for 8 freaking hours as if we where in third wold freaking country.. very disorganized ER… And I guarantee the bill will be as if we where in a 5 star freaking hotel…. The Ct scan people where rude and didnt make my father feel confortable even after we told them he was claustrophobic and his main symptom was dizziness and nausea… surprise, we couldn’t do the freaking test because my father felt sick!!! Had to wait over 8 hours in a HALLWAY!!! Took almost 2 hours to give him something to feel better…. Patient care is a joke, they tried to make him pee in a hallway where people constantly walked by with ZERO PRIVACY!!!! Avoid at all costs!!!"

Thank you Dr. Moises Jacob and staff for all your attention dedication and professionalism. To the 3 floor nurses and staff thank you for helping my dad feel at home and like family.
