"Lakewood is not a bad school! I love it there! All the teachers LOVE me! There might be a few fights and a few teachers that grade unfairly, but other than that. I would recommend this school to anyone who's child is going to high school soon or they themselves are going to high school soon."
"a few really awesome teachers, maybe once or twice a year, most are average. In traditional classes, meaning classes less rigorous than honors, or at least, the ones I've been in, most have the problem of one or more group of people being completely unruly, the teachers tend to respond with either obliviousness, or putting the entire class on pause until they stop."
"I hate the fact people talk down on lakewood like it's a terrible school. It's like any other school where there's fights, drugs, and students who choose to make the wrong choices and yes the school is old and need some upgrading, but its not gonna happen over night. So please don't make this school look bad when it really isn't. A lot of talented smart hardworking students attend the school every year and great teachers who actually care about their students. There's going to be good and bad in every school."
"Sadly neglected school. Holes in the roof, Teachers, students, Parents all hopeless and defeated. Actual drug dealers and child prostitute students :( Very sad and hopeless. Great need for community unity to turn this school around. Pulled my son out and moved the hell out asap."
"I walked in the administration office and was greeted by an unfriendly staff member who had to get a hello first before I got one in return. I felt as though I interrupted her by the look I received when I walked through the door. When I mentioned I needed to drop off books for my son she sent me to the next set of doors for the main office which were locked when I first attempted to enter. Her responses to me were gruff to say the least. When I walked to the High school office desk I could see her making comments in reference to me in a mockery fashion. She was making gestures to whom, ever was in back of her and looking at me with a smurk on her face. I don't appreciate being mocked as I was attempting to just drop off books and head off to work."
