"Prospective student and I can’t even get technical support on the phone after 20 minutes of waiting just to apply. Not a good look . Now I don’t know if I’ll apply. Can’t even get the support I need and I haven’t even applied yet"
"SPC is sure to provide the most frustrating school experience. There are many areas to complain about. Counselors don't seem to have the time to fully explain learning paths or degree requirements, the courses are outdated, and the electronic learning platform is very confusing to navigate. However, for me, the two most glaring issues are the VA services and financial departments. Initially, I tried to use my GI Bill. After receiving multiple conflicting information, I nearly lost three classes worth of credits. The billing department couldn't figure out how much I owed. First, I owed them, then they owed me and now I have no idea where I stand. Just to avoid all the issues, I'm paying out of pocket rather than trying to deal with the VA services department. I'll likely finish my degree here but I understand that it'll be aggravating and frustrating along the way."
"Just enrolled not having a good experience at all. Paid application fee and transcript fees. Still can't enroll in classes. All the classes I picked for Fall semester are taken and now I'm only left to pick from teachers no one wants to take. A waste of money and time. Not going to a school that is full of confusion and can't get anywhere with staff or advisors. They make it seem like they are helpful but are not helpful at all."
"The love the professors, they're great! Their financial department is another story, they're horrible! The IRS sent a letter saying that I owe them because of my education credit. Contacted them, and the IRS employee told me, my college, SPC, did not submit that I was a student. I had to call SPC and ask for 1098 for 2020, they said they'd give me a callback, but never did. Thankfully they added it to my profile almost 2 years later. Long story short, the IRS is saying I owe close to $1k which is ridiculous and upsetting because the SPC financial department failed to do part of their job and failed to communicate, disappointing indeed."
"This school has been steadily improving for years. It's amazing to see the school grow. The cost is very low and they have so many programs. They are connected to USF for things like ROTC. Where else can you go to school for $3,000-$4,000 a year in 2018?"
