Duke Energy Center for the Arts - Mahaffey Theater

"An absolutely beautiful theater. Very clean and so well maintained. I love how they have security at the entrance. They have a couple open bars for liquor and other non alcoholic drinks as well as snacks. They have plenty of clean bathrooms to use. There is a huge restaurant upstairs. They also have stairs and elevators to go up and down the floors. We were her for an orchestra. The seats were very comfortable and the room was beautiful. We truly loved our visit here. We have been to a couple other orchestras but this tops them all. Will be back for other events they offer."

"This venue is really lovely. Enjoyed the show “Holiday Pops” here and loved every moment of it. The theatre itself is really beautiful, and not a bad seat in the house. Their giant moon sculpture is something to behold, and makes for a great photo opportunity! To anyone that lives in the area, and also to people visiting, I suggest visiting here. Support the arts!"

"Nice venue to enjoy concerts and theatre. I recently saw Randy Rainbow and it was simply outstanding. My only complaint was the temperature in the venue was extremely warm. The parking is easy and no charge"

"We went today to experience a live concert music to Jurassic Park movie. It was amazing! The orchestra was brilliant! The music was beautiful. We really enjoyed it! The theater itself was lovely. It was our first time there. We will return. The place was large, organized, well staffed with friendly knowledgeable people. The place was also clean! We sat in the back in the bottom, but we still had a great seat. The rows are a bit on the barrel side, so beware of spacing between rows. Also, they do keep letting folks with a ticket in; even if they are very late. Cons, the seats themselves are not very big, so if you are needing a larger seat; be aware of this. Also, if you have asthma or any similar breathing issues, be aware that all the cologne and perfume in there is pretty strong. Lol. We had a good experience personally and loved that the parking garage next door for the Dali, had an adjacent space meant for the Mahafe. It was $10 and CASH ONlY. Thank you!"

"This room is a rare gem. An absolute treasure. If you have an opportunity to experience music or a stage performance at this theater, do it. We were treated to one of the last shows from Ryan Adams and Cardinals - which included a sound check session - and it was an unmatched experience."
