Reviews of One School of the Arts
"I just want to share how one school has been so faithful to my son. They're an excellent school with staff that always want to do better for the children. They push to progress, believing for the best! Thank you, One School of the Arts!!!!"
"We just started at One School of the Arts and I have seen a marked change in my child. The environment is loving and the curriculum is challenging. All schools will have things that parents don't agree with but we need to be respectful of the policies as they are put in place for a reason. It is also important to vocalize concerns appropriately. I am surprised by the number of inappropriate and rude comments on this site. One School is a fun, happy place for kids. For the parent that complained about the uniform, your child is attending a private school and attending means buying the uniform that the school requires."
"This is our first year at One School of the Arts, and our boys are loving it there. Our kids get to take Chinese class, go to "open mic" and attend chapel weekly. As a parent, I really appreciate the heart of the teachers and staff. Even in our short time there so far, the concern and commitment the staff has for the scholars is evident. Coming from the public school system, I really appreciate the small class sizes, and love that they have PE every day (every day! remember those days?) I look forward to One School being part of my children's academic and spiritual development for years to come."
"Over the past two years of attending One School, my daughter has been thriving academically, artistically and spiritually. She has had an array of elementary school experiences including private schools in Lake Mary, Costa Rica, and most recently an arts oriented school in San Diego where she was happy, but an average student. So when we returned to Orlando, I was looking for a school that would challenge her academically without squelching her creativity as she progressed into middle school. I have found the leadership and teachers to be not only loving and energetic, but very dedicated and gifted in encouraging her to reach her highest potential. She has had to buckle down and work hard, but the results have been beyond expectation: Honor roll three quarters in a row, excellent training in the upright bass, learning photography and placing first in a state photo competition, dance and performance training, and realizing her dream of becoming an entrepreneur in the school’s annual “Shark Tank” competition just to name a few of the highlights. Not to mention that this is truly a Christ centered school. Probably the greatest benefit of One School has been that they are teaching her to understand God’s purpose for her life within the school environment. We are incredibly happy with how this school has encouraged and challenged our daughter to really tap into the gifts that God has given her."
"As I wanted my son to learn within a Christian environment, he attended pre-K here.Unfortunately, I have to say, this was the worst school my child has ever attended! Teachers, and office staff were extremely irresponsible with the true welfare of the children. It is very obvious that the school is very much about the $$money$$ they bring in.. very sad. Was more like a babysitting environment. Lacked focus in academics, creativity, character building, encouragement etc. My son refers to the school as 'boring'. Was easy for the staff to be critical of the children, but very limited availability of these teachers for follow up. They were more engaged with their personal lives and used the school time to prepare for their own time vs. the children. Difficulty in consistency of staff with the development of the child. Cannot say enough about what a disappointment this school is, especially for the money the parents pay. F- FAIL!"
