Kiddie Academy of Longwood-Lake Mary

"Wow, I'm reading the reviews from the last 6 months, and I'm not suprised to see other parents upset with the conduct of this daycare, and I'm relieved to know I'm not the only one... My son was scratched by the same child on NUMEROUS occasions (one resulting in a permanent scar by his eye) and the daycare did absolutely NOTHING about it. Reports were only written AFTER I brought it to Katies attention. When my son was STRUCK in the face by the same child, we finally decided to remove him for his safety. We realized the daycare would continue to allow our son to be assaulted under their care. Karina Rodriguez is one of the most unprofessional people we have ever dealt with, and she should not be working around children. We called and spoke with her about our concerns, and right after we got off the phone...we watched on the cameras as she went into our son's classroom, pulled our son away from his peers and proceeded to talk about his mother in front of him with his teachers. In the video, we can see Karina laughing, throwing her hands around, and simply not taking our concerns seriously at all. We watched as she patted the little boy that assaulted my son on the back and then she sends him back to play, while my son stood there visibly uncomfortable. When our son came home, we asked him what happened and he told us that his teachers were saying things about mommy...and don't let Katie fool you with her sweet and innocent demeanor, as she didn't fool us! This daycare requires two payments a year to cover supplies. We'd like to know where or how over $150 worth of supplies PER CHILD are being used. And what daycare charges for art supplies? Art supplies aren't included in tuition!? Our son has only used paper, crayons, and a glue stick! In the last 6 months, our son has probably used about $10 in supplies. Ted C, the franchise owner, is really racking in the money here! There are so many better options than this daycare. We are so happy with our son's new daycare, and very happy with our choice to remove him from Kiddie Academy Longwood. Compared to other schools in the area, this daycare is not up to date on anything, and needs to be brought up to times in 2024 if they are going to charge so much. This daycare smells and looks rundown. To be continued..."

"Not sure how this is considered an "academy". This school does not prepare VPK children for Kindergarten, and our child learned nothing here. This is a regular ole daycare where they just "babysit" your child..."

"Not a good place , the new director doesn’t care about the kids , I had several episodes and they only said we are going to check the cameras and they never did my son was bite by ants all over his body nobody said anything until I found out when I got home and I had to spend the entire next day at the hospital with him because it got really bad and swollen , I can’t believe nobody said anything so it means he was by himself of course because the teacher they had was a teenager that couldn’t care less about them with no experience at all!!! They only good thing about this place is the infant room !!! Nothing else !!! Money that’s the only thing they care"

"My daughter went for Pre-k with Ms. Jenna and Ms.Rachel and they are the best ! I remember doing the tour with Ms. Jenna and at the end I told my husband “I hope she is her teacher” and I’m so glad she was . She creates such a safe environment for the kids to express their feelings and I loved it. My daughter also loved Ms. Tonya, sometimes she will substitute Ms.Jenna and she was also very nice. What I also loved about this place was the cameras, the security to enter this place and the pictures they sent of the activities my daughter did throughout the day. Something so special they did at the end of the school year was an album full of memories. I loved that they took their time to do that and is something so special for the kids. Katie is the Director and she is so nice and understanding. My daughter learned so much and I’m so glad I she went here. I already said how nice everyone is here but they really are :”)"
