"Not great at refilling patients medication. Have to call everytime, at least twice to get whatever they need signed to get signed. Have had to call them, always have to press that I am a medical provider too, because if I inquire for medication refills I just get a robot that tells me to call my pharmacy, then when I call my pharmacy they tell me I need to call my provider!!! It has been like this for the last few months, I didn’t have to do this when they first started me on it, but now right before Christmas not knowing if I’ll have my medication before I run out, not acceptable. I never used to have to do this??? Why do I have to call everytime to get my medication filled? It is ridiculous. Then when they have it ready for me it’s about a day or two before I run out of my current bottle. You shouldn’t leave a patient with one day left of medication before they can pick up their next bottle. What if I had an emergency? Are they trying to hurt people by giving them medication then suddenly stopping it or forgetting to send in refills? It’s currently about 2 weeks from Christmas and I went to the pharmacy to see when my next refill is, I picked up my last one on the 26th which is the day after xmas so I’m not sure if they will be open then. I will be out of my current bottle on the day after Christmas. Then what do I do if my provider hasn’t sent in my refill? Stopping Wellbutrin cold turkey can have bad side effects. This medication has been helping me out a lot and to have this happening right before Christmas is really worrying. I’d rather not have to go through withdrawal symptoms through the holidays because my providers forgot or just don’t care to send in my refills. I am very upset and disappointed by this."
"I made an appointment for 7:20 in the morning with Dr.Stacey for an ear infection which has been causing me immense pain in the lower jaw and throat, severe headache and loss of hearing. I was received through the employee entrance for whatever protocol that was deemed necessary by the staff. I'm greeted by a staff member and taken back to the observation room where I am left with another staff member and surveyed on the usual symptoms I am experiencing and given a mental health questionare. The assistant to Dr.Stacey then leaves. Stacey arrives, greets me and takes stock of my symptoms I have already listed to the assistant prior to her entering the room.I tell her that I have been in pain at a level of 9-10 the last 5 days and had also listed trouble sleeping from the discomfort and acute pain in my jaw and even tongue/throat. I mention that I had SOME drainage finally just last night/when I woke. She then examined my ear with an otoscope and notes that there is still indeed a small amount of fluid accumulation still trapped in my ear. She then mentions that she wants me to come back soon and run some blood tests as that is the recommended procedure for me as a new patient. (Keep in mind I have a primary care physician in Washington State and noted that to the original person I spoke with over the phone when setting up an appointment). She doesn't mention any tips on care, any medication or prescription for my infection or anything else pertaining to exactly what I made the appointment for. After recommending that I return for "blood work" which I don't need as I had just had my blood work done last year and maintain a healthy diet, active lifestyle and am young (25), she dismisses me to the check out desk. Puzzled I turn to her and ask "Oh, we're all finished?" And she nods with a directing hand toward the check out desk, having already left the observation room and now standing in the hallway. I begrudgingly thank her, now questioning why I even went to the doctor. To waste my time with zero to show from the appointment except the promise to return and pay more money that I don't have for unnecessary blood work. I just paid for someone to say hi to me, make comments about how most people she sees don't have as good a BMI as I do (very awkward small talk), stick an otoscope in my ear and tell me the obvious, and then dismiss me as if selling me on a self help program with the promise that "this bloodwork is the best thing for you right now". I was puzzled and still am. I still have an ear infection and have resorted to borrowing a friend's left over amoxicillin to help fight my ongoing ear infection. Not even any paperwork or a write up on the doctors notes on the appointment where issued. The first time I've EVER had a doctor dismiss me with no inclination of what should be done with the actual affliction at hand. I want my money back for my appointment at this point and I suggest you avoid this location or atleast Dr.Stacey for the time being. -Ezra Ocean-Ortiz, an unfortunate patient of CenterPlace Health Venice FL."
"I have always received prompt, courteous and professional care for my son and myself here. The staff follows through with my care, any treatment plan and referrals. I appreciate all that they do!"
"I have a hard time reviewing this place as I liked Dominque Meyer personally I never gotten any good heath care from her due in part to her lack of time I had when I saw her & the fact she used a APRN(a very rude women) from Sarasota office to see me,she did very poorly on my hypertension and is now gone from the venice center I like her very much as to the center they are horrid on getting med's sent to my CVS and having short stays for medical staff and no doctors as well as APRN's with very low ratings on this rating site-They are good for young folks but if you are disabled find someone else to help you as they won't take your being disabled into account in helping you with getting med's to right place , currently the new ARRN has only one star from her last place she worked for I can't see that being a good thing for me staying with them. But then it's wealth care not health care anymore. PS-New APRN had only one review on this site showing only one star but on yelp she has 4.5 out of 5 stars, with alot of reviewers not just one,so be fair with her as I've already lost faith long before her with CPH.,I would however say the way they treated Dominque Meyer was horrid and shows how low they are & why I lowered the stars from 2 down to one.-Don't go to them look at the reveiws here. phone it in A**holes, they tend to stigmatize be careful dealing with them,Very rude."
"I am very unhappy with Centerplace health and their decision to let Doctor Meyer go. I cannot understand this decision and really think they will regret this in the end. Our entire family loved her so much and she had the utmost respect and abilities to listen and care for her patients. She truly was the best doctor my husband, myself, and our children have ever had. I still respect and care for the women staff at the clinic and hope they know this bad review is in no way directed towards them. This one star review is solely based on the fact that we will no longer be patients here due to the fact we will now lose Dr. Meyers outstanding care and knowledge. Below is my former review, I still want to keep it there so everyone can see what a warm place she had made it for her patients. I had also, then, given them 5 stars. This decision is an absolute shame. Dr. Meyer is the best doctor my husband and I have ever seen. She is very thorough, listens to what you have to say, and has amazing ways to make you feel like you are at home at that office. All the ladies there have been seeing our family for months now and they all greet us and laugh with us every time we go there. We get great front desk service as well, very friendly, very understanding, and fast. Thank you for being the best !"
