"I mentioned to Greg at the door that it was my first time here. Greg kindly and patiently gave me a tour of the venue, which included a large open space type dining, outdoor dining and a covered patio. The view of the intercoastal waterway and outside area was very inviting. They also have a little setting area for sipping on whiskey or other drinks while waiting to be seated. This place was super busy and the energies of the staff was so positive, upbeat and professional. I sat at the bar and was welcomed by Chelsey, who was very hospitable and attentive. For starters, I had to try their BBQ Chips -which were very crunchy and delicious. I had their tendor and tasteful Beef Brisket with BBQ beans and mac & cheese. Their food and their variety of BBQ sauces were amazing. I loved the ambience, the hospitality and the quality & portions of the food which seemed to be reasonably priced. I'm looking forward to my next visit to get my BBQ Chip fix and to try out their ribs and cornbread, which I heard was delicious."

"Wow. Who would have expected great BBQ in Jacksonville?! I live in Dallas with 5 BBq places within 10 minutes, one always with a huge line so I know good Q. And what’s so interesting about Valley Smoke is that it’s no shack- this is a upscale restaurant with a casual country club vibe, valet parking ( it gets busy as all great places do) and a beautiful location on the Inter-coastal Waterway. The portions are huge and the prices are surprisingly reasonable. Our server Madison was super friendly and attentive. She recommended the strawberry lemon pie which was delightful to share. With four people we got the BBqfor2 with moist brisket, smoked chicken, and ribs that had a nice bite. We added the venison schnitzel which I would normally not get but it was one of the best items. Nice medallions in an amazing mushroom sauce. Outstanding! The sides were great and we had three nice appetizers. Do get the cornbread!! We shared everything family style. When in east Jax/ Ponte Vedra, put this on your must do list."

"I highly recommend the pulled pork! Pulled pork matched with the bbq sauce that they give you on the side is delicious. We also tried the vegan hash as an appetizer and it was the star of the show. The seasoning was so amazing you don’t feel like you are missing out on anything. Everyone is really sweet and the restaurant is very well run."

"The free valet parking was a nice surprise. Our first time eating here and it didn’t disappoint. We were a party of 14 and they took care to make sure everyone was served together. The food was delicious and very generous for a portion (the Carolina pulled pork gave me four meals). Make sure you try the mashed red potatoes. You won’t regret it. The service was outstanding! Each couple was given their individual bill rather than trying to figure out which couple owed how much. The atmosphere was great. Quiet so that we could talk to each other without having background noise drowning us out. "For starter we had Wood-Fire Local Shrimp, delicious. For the entrée we had Atlantic Salmon Filet, Filet Mignon and Ribeye. All the plates were delicious. My first time at this place. I recommend it ."
