"Perfect Family Lunch at Barbara Jean's on the Water! We stopped by and had lunch at Barbara Jean's on the Water and it was absolutely amazing! The waterside setting creates a relaxed and beautiful atmosphere, ideal for families. We enjoyed their delicious hamburgers and roast beef, both of which were big hits with adults and kids alike. The service was really great and our kids loved watching the boats go by while eating. You must try their cherry cobbler - it's a heavenly treat! A shoutout to the owners who add a personal touch of warmth and hospitality, making Barbara Jean's a truly special place for a family meal."

"Nice restaurant along the St. Johns river. Outdoor seating available. A menu full of southern, home cooking dishes. Several options when it comes to picking out sides. You have to try the shecrab soup. It is fantastic with a generous portion! During our visit we split it among 2 people. The bread basket is ample. The pumpkin cornbread is unique and tasty. Just a heads up their grits are not the standard, they are very fine ground and thick like a paste. The pot roast portion was very generous and flavorful. Just a note to have your whole party present or you cannot be put on the wait list."

"Stopped in on Friday 8/18 was expecting as zoo but it was honestly smooth. First let me say the view at this restaurant is amazing. I’ll start with my meal I ordered the meatloaf with red sauce (recommend by the waiter) with corn and fries. I was not disappointed it was very good the only downer was the tomato chunks which I gladly pulled out. Otherwise this was a very good meal. My wife ordered the coconut shrimp with grits and broccoli casserole. For taste test purposes she gave me a sample and they were really, really good. This place did not disappoint and would definitely come back here again. Also the bread that came before the meal was super yummy and also the food getting to the table was super quick. Our server was amazing (I apologize I do not remember his name) was helpful in deciding foods and I cannot complain. Would come back again."
