"I was traveling and visiting Apalachicola on January 7. After 4 days of fever, I decided to visit the Weems emergency room. There were no other urgent care options within walking distance. My experience at Weems was all positive. The checkin receptionist was friendly and efficient. The med-tech was pleasant and quick. Dr Jacks, also pleasant, examined me and concluded I had no symptoms of bacterial infection and I had a viral URI. Covid and Flu nose swabbings were completed, which came back negative. My visit was 90 to 120 minutes from entry to exit, which seemed quite reasonable to me. I didn’t walk away cured, but I understood my situation. Thank you Weems staff."
"I was impressed with their service in the ER. The staff was great as was the doctor. I would go back there."
"Although they saw me right away for severe stomach pain, the facility could definitely use a REALLY good cleaning! Such a shame that it's in this condition, being a health facility!! I would not chance getting surgery or stiches here."
"My daughter was having a miscarriage and the intake nurse would not even take her back or take her vitals. Told her they could not do anything for her and to just go home. Well 4 days later my daughter was rushed to Gulf Coast hospital hemorrhaging and fainting. Level of care is not what it should be at a hospital."
"I went to the emergency room on Saturday 10-15-22 with really bad cellulitis and a thousand bumps from a reaction from something. I NEVER go to the dr so this was really bad. The Doctor came in once for 4 minutes and I never seen him again. No lab work. He did tell the nurse to give me a shot of steroids. I am deathly afraid of needles and I know the whole feeling. I am 100 percent convinced she never injected me and kept that shot for something else or someone else. I was given a prescription and sent on my way. The whole visit took 10 to 12 minutes and there was not one other person there. The hospital is horrible and the nurse is a thief."
