Zaxby's Chicken Fingers & Buffalo Wings

"On Saturday January 27, 2024, at approximately 5:30pm, my wife and I went to Zaxby’s on Apalachee Parkway, in Tallahassee, FL. We ordered two loaded fries. When we received our order, we noticed that the fries were not fresh. They appeared as if they were previously cooked, then put back into hot grease to reheat them. We asked the gentleman that rung us up if they could give us fresh fries. He said yes. I attempted to give him back the order and he told us to keep it and asked us to pull forward and they will bring out a fresh order shortly. While we were waiting for the fresh loaded fries. My wife picked through the previous order tasting the fries and chicken. She noticed that some of the chicken was not cooked thoroughly and was chewy and pink in the middle. Due to the obvious health concern, we no longer felt safe eating from there. My wife attempted to enter the lobby to inform the staff and to tell them that we would prefer a refund, but the lobby was closed. We wanted to stop them before they completed the remake, so my wife called the store. She explained the situation to an associate, who then reported it to the manager. The manager was very curt and rude. With no greeting nor apology, she said that she would come get our card. When the manager (a Caucasian female with a nose ring) arrived at our vehicle she appeared to be upset. I gave her my card for the refund, she said in a very rude tone “we was about the bring the order out”. I explained to her the situation, then she asked for us to give her the previous order back. I explained that we would like to keep it, because if my wife got sick, we would have evidence of where it came from. The manager then rudely turned and left back for the store. A few moments later, a different associate (a Black girl wearing a head wrap and black letterman styled jacket) returned my card and receipt for the refund. I asked her, what was the name of the previous person that came out and she replied “I can’t give you that” then walked away. Out of the 13 years of coming to Zaxby’s, this has been by far the worst experience. This was bad enough that we no longer want to return. This location has a history of bad customer service, but it appears to be getting worse. Not only that, but customers health is being put at risk. Had they just apologized and took ownership, we would have just gone about our way, but I’m going to let it be known the experience we’ve had. If need be, I have recordings of the event. This location needs to have better training for staff and hold bad customer service accountable."

"Came through drive through, ordered my food. Gave the guy my money, he folded my change up and handed back to me only for me to be missing the bigger bills of my change. I called and complained and was told to come back to store. To be accosted by the manager with a piercing stating I had attitude because I demanded my correct change. Do yourself a favor and go to the next one down capital circle. They have thieves and ignorant managers amongst the staff."

"My name is Leslie and I went to the One on Apalachee Parkway and I ordered the Parmesan loaded fries and I asked for no bacon to be on it whatsoever so they made it and when the cashier got it from the back of the house it was baking all over it. I heard her tell them several times that I didn’t want bacon and not to put it on there and ask for them to make it over Instead of making A whole new thing like she said they just picked all the bacon off what they can find and add more sauce and cheese to it. Therefore it made me sick because although I’m not allergic I can’t eat it because it makes me sick so I ate some of it, and like five minutes prior to eating it because I didn’t know I started feeling sick and throwing up and realize some pieces of bacon was still in it now I’m sick to my stomach because they wanted to be lazy and not do me a new plate"

"The drive-thru service is extremely slow. Plan to be in the line 35 - 45 minutes. 10 minutes to get the speaker. 10 minutes to get the order placed. 5 minutes to pay. 15 minutes waiting for them to bring your food out. Do not go there if you are looking for fast food."

"Waited in line for about 15 mins with one car in front of me. I ordered a “Big Zax Snack with wimpy sauce”… there is literally barely any sauce at all on these chicken strips.. barely any fries, I understand they have to put the “ranch sauce” in the box, I guess but come on, take the sauce out and there are barely any fries… there isn’t any season salt on the fries.. I asked for an extra sauce and I got two ranches (that could be my fault).. but definitely meant zax sauce.. After I made my order, normally the Zaxbys I usually go to will repeat back what I had ordered at the intercom, this one didn’t. The guy at the window did repeat the order at the window but he didn’t say it correctly which is fine, he was probably in a hurry.. but the lady that took the order at the intercom should have verified the order.. Their cookies look good though, haven’t tried them yet.."
