Mr. Shrimp SEAFOOD MARKET

"Excellent seafood restaurant in strip center off the main road. Suoer friendly staff, checked jn with me to see if all was good. The food was really delicious. I had the shrimp basket and it was probably the best fried shrimp I have had. The batter was light and tasty, and the shrimp were cooked to perfection. The coleslaw took me by surprise. I generally like sweet slaw, but this one had a slight tang to it. Really tasty - finished all in the cup. Fries just weren't right, can't put my finger on what was wrong. When I go back, I will ask for the Cajun fries to see the difference. Maybe the lack of seasoning had something to do with it. Hushpuppies were tasty as well. Really needs 4.75 stars, not 4.5."

"No attendant at the front, it was more of a digital checkout but I didn't known that at first. I didn't see any signs so I wait there for someone to greet me and nothing. The food came back at a reasonable time. The interior of the establishment was clean and inviting. Food: fish was greasy, flaky coating easy coming off the fish. The grouper was barely cooked with no season. The conch came with only 5 pieces, and it also had no season. Garlic bread is laughable, burnt hamburger bun cut. Get a better quality bread made for garlic toast. See pic The employees were friendly and just because of the food I will not recommend or be back. Not worth the money."

"We found out about Mr. Shrimp online and wanted to see if it lived up to the many raves. To anticipate one thing "yes". There were extremely friendly hosts in the service. They patiently explained to us as foreigners/tourists what is included in the dishes. The preparation took a little longer, which didn't bother us as Europeans, because preparing fresh food takes time. When we took the first bite we were amazed by the heat, the spices and the freshness of the food. Thanks to the kitchen and the service from Mr. Shrimps and his team."

"Wow Been coming here for years. The updates to the restaurant are amazing. If you get a chance look at the new art on plaza wall!!! Sick shark And by far this is The Mr. shrimp. (There are other locations ..but this one has the OG menu and some items you can't find at other locations !!!) Totally fam owned. It can be slow paced at times but it's a small town and food made fresh! Now for the food. My fav is half pound shrimp BG style which is spicy & buttery! Fried shrimp is amazing. No idea how the batter is made but i swear it's the only fried batter with this spice & delicious taste. CONCH SALAD. Don't question it. Just buy it. My dads fav. Hell eat it like a soup which is weird but hey. Marketplace style brings a whole new vibe too. Yummy market items you can't find in other places and the prices are good. HIGHLY RECOMMEND and the drive to Belle glade is so beautiful. If ur lucky might see a gator on side of road chillin."

"Ordered a shrimp potato and sausage boil from the Mr. Shrimp in Belleglade $23.00. Where are the shrimp I counted 10 shrimp I left the establishment simply walked to my vehicle opened the container saw this sausage boil and went right back in and request the remainder of my shrimp or my money back and the manager looked me right in the eye accused me of eating the shrimp ( within less than 1 minute) and stated once the food leaves the building it’s not his problem. “NO REFUND!” I was at a lost for words - I told him have a good day and left him with his sausage boil and my $23.00 dollars. I will never spend another penny in this overpriced, under quality only getting business because this is a small town with no other options eatery ever again. Moral of the story check your food before you leave the building!"
