"We first started going to Heidi and Axel's place on FMB, then here after they reopened following Hurricane Ian. Hubby & I went here on the 13th for our "Valentine's dinner." It was wonderful (again!). Melanie, our server was great...so friendly. We both had the veal Jaeger Schnitzel w/mushroom gravy. I had the red cabbage and spaetzle (extra gravy on the side!) Our veal was fork tender, the breading was perfectly crispy, the red cabbage was sweet and tangy and the spaetzle were nice and tender. Paired it with the dark German beer (hubby had the lighter beer). Too full, so we got a piece of German Chocolate cake and Apple Strudel to go. Had the cake last night... delicious! It is a small place, so it can get a little loud if everyone is having a good time, but small price to pay for authentic German food!"

"Look no further for authentic German food! Heidi and Axel are the absolute best! The food is the absolute best. We love the schnitzel, wurst platters, pretzels and of course Hefe Weizen beer! The service is incredible and everyone is so kind. Heidi is a true gem, and we look forward to seeing her year after year!"

"You're obviously here searching for delicious food, so just go. Heidi's German Restaurant is a real gem in Fort Myers, and might even be the best German food I've had. I sat outside, which was just peaceful and lovely. I didn't catch our waitress's name, but she was one of the kindest and most attentive servers I've ever had. Super sweet lady. I'm sorry I didn't ask your name to give you a proper shout-out. I ordered the potato soup (GET IT, YOU WILL THANK ME) and a veal jaegerschnitzel, with spaetzle and a potato pancake. It was all absolutely delicious. I tried my friend's sauerkraut and it was also just great. Not too acidic, very rich and flavorful. I ended up also ordering a separate wienerschnitzel and I loved it more than the veal. It's so tender, the breading is crispy without being crunchy, and the brown gravy served with it is a delight. The mushroom gravy with the jaegerschnitzel was also incredible. If you like German food, you're gonna love this place. I'm so glad I found it, and I'll definitely be back soon."

"Beyond amazing experience. Heidi was so incredibly helpful to my indecisive fiancé and I. All of her menu recommendations were AMAZING. We greatly enjoyed the french onion soup, jaeger Schnitzel (side of spaetzle and red cabbage), and the Black Forest dessert. Truly phenomenal German food. We sat on the back patio during a light rain and it was such a wonderful atmosphere. Maybe most spectacular of all was Heidi’s service. She treated us as family and we felt instantly at home. This is now our favorite restaurant in Fort Myers!"
