"Tonight a group of girlfriends and I dined at The Patio in Lakeland for the first time. We made a reservation for 6:45 and were seated promptly. The experience started off strong, with a nice atmosphere and good wine. We ordered the popcorn and pork nachos. It took over 30 minutes for the appetizers to arrive and when we asked about when they would arrive the server tried to explain the kitchen was the problem. When she said that we immediately ordered our entrees to be proactive. Our server was not very attentive to us from there on out. About an hour after we ordered our entrees, the server came over to ask how we would be splitting checks and we reminded her that we ordered entrees and were waiting for them. One member of our party ordered her food to go (a pizza) and it arrived a few mins later. At 9pm, 1.5 hours after we ordered we asked for our food. She went in to check again. One member of our party also went inside to ask the person expo'ing about our food. When she left inside, we watched that person chug what appeared to be a bottled beer. Shortly after that, the 4 dine in entrees came out but 2 were wrong. The 2 that were wrong were sent back because at that point it wasn't worth waiting for it to be corrected. The two that were correct, we ate some of (Pan seared salmon) and the meals were just okay. We asked for our checks and they were all incorrect. All the manager would do for our time and incorrect orders was take the pizza off the order. It took over 40 mins to get correct checks. We explained we did not feel charging us full price due to the service we received was right, but nothing was done. Our server did not come out to collect our payment and two members of our party had to go inside to pay and noticed a half smoked cigarette butt on the floor in the dining room. Long story short, we had high hopes for our night out but the service we received left a lasting impression and we will not be back. The wine and appetizers were good, the live music was pleasant and not too loud. But the inattentive server and callus manager / owner cannot be overlooked. I worked in restaurants for all of my teens and 20s, and I sympathize and have a high level of patience if a restaurant is busy or under staffed. This was not the case. There were maybe 10 tables the whole time we were there, 3 servers and at least one host. If the managers had bothered to come out and check on the customers throughout the night, they might have had a chance to be proactive and ensure prompt and correct service. Overall, The Patio was a huge disappointment."

"I absolutely love this restaurant. I know the owners personally and they are an amazing duo. They make your visit here so relaxing and comfortable. They also interact with everyone making you feel like part of the family. The food is incredible and eating outside with the lights, looking at the garden is so peacefull as well as romantic. I Love It here!"
