"Service was rubbish on Valentine's Day with confused inattentive staff. Set Prix was unadvertised so an $85.00 surprise.. technically a bait and switch since the Owner had to know customers would have no other Valentine's Day reservations so would be stuck taking or leaving the overpriced fixed menu. Appetizer was Three tiny mushrooms for an $85.00 meal. Clam Chowder made with tough, sandy clams. Food served cold twice. None of the food served was from their typical menu and was a poor take on Gourmet...young cooks had no idea how to prepare the unfamiliar dishes and whoever designed the menu was a fool. No salads no fresh vegetables 4 weird entree choices. Entree we chose was hunk of room temperature unseasoned beef on a pile of cold pasty mashed potatoes. Accompanied with chilled broccoli rahb kind of pale yellow stringy undercooked vegetables. Other entree was small Lobster bits on top of a pile of oil soaked risotto that were so salty it was a joke. Strawberry dessert was 2 smallish strawberrys drizzled with chocolate. Total rip off!"

"We had an amazing dinner at Root and Branch on Friday night! The fried green tomatoes and Brussel sprouts were gone so quickly that I forgot to take a picture. But they were delicious! We also had the most amazing kale salad ever with locally sourced grown kale. Best we’ve ever had! The pork chop, gnocchi bolognese and bone in ribeye were all delicious too. Personal service and a visit from the chef/gm made the perfect meal. We highly recommend!"

She patiently guided us through the menu, helping us make informed decisions about what to order. While the food was undeniably delightful, it was the warm and welcoming service that made our visit to Root & Bar Bistro + Bar truly unforgettable. "My boyfriend and I celebrated our anniversary, it was one of the best meals and dining experiences we have ever had. We had the fried green tomatoes (amazing!!!), Livin’ on a Pear cocktail, salmon, roasted chicken, and dessert. Everything was lick-your-plate excellent. Details such as the hostess opening the door for us, our waiter (Jon) being delightful, the chef coming out to see how our meal was, and a handwritten card for our special occasion made it a meal we will never forget. Our only complaint is that we wish we could take the whole restaurant back home with us!"
