"Ummmm has anyone seen the news about this place ? They handed a baby to the wrong person ! No ID was asked for, and because there was a substitute teacher, the teacher did not know the parents. Wouldn’t that be more reason to ask for ID ? And based on the news report, this is not the first time this happened. Apparently another child was left in the car forgotten. This place should not be open, I can’t imagine why it’s still open. Please be careful with this place. Not reliable and dangerous really"

"As a staff member of Orient Road Child Development Center for over 29 years I have never missed a paycheck as well as I have received several raises. Most parents that leave unhappy is because they want free childcare. The owners and management requires us to provide excellent care for all of our kids. Accident reports are written for all accident and incidents that happens. We provide them to the parents and ask if they would likea copy of the reports. As the head director of this facility I can a sure you that parents are notified of any accident that may occur. Parents need to stop second guessing salaries of our staff members. All of our staff members are trained and certified to work in child care from the state and national level and paid accordingly. The owners are professional and has been since they open their business. For as many years I have worked for this black owned business I have seen a lot of people trying to bring down their own race. I enjoy all the children that I teach however I my boss is the best I have ever worked for. I love my center E Porteus"

"Please be mindful I'm using someone else's account, never theless hands down this is one of the best facilities I have had my kids in. I'm from Duval county and moved here a few years ago. I was referred to this daycare by another parent. I visited the facility on several occasions and each time I was highly impressed with how the teachers were very attentive to the kids. My little one was always clean with a fresh bottom, my middle one just couldn't get enough of his teachers and new friends, my big baby said that his teachers talked to him like a big kid and made him use his thinking hat. Bottom line these people made my kids feel like little important people. I can appreciate the level of respect of respect they have for the kids and vice versa. I can only imagine how many little people they have positively influenced due to the level of love & care they have with the children here. Kudos to you staff members.
