"I had to bring in my elderly cat due to her having blood in her urine and constantly in and out of the litter box. It was after hours and I couldn’t take her to my regular vet. I debated on taking her or waiting until our regular vet opened in the morning. Given her age I decided to bring her in. The receptionist was very kind and took our information and had me drive over. It wasn’t a quick trip because they had an emergency surgery, but that’s the nature of an after hours vet and I didn’t mind waiting to be seen. I hope I won’t have another after hours emergency but if I do I would definitely go back."
"This place was amazing! They took such good care of my puppy when she ingested something toxic. I called ahead and spoke with Heather. She was so friendly and made me feel at ease as I was panicking. The technician that saw us first (I think his name was Daniel) immediately could see that something was wrong with my Lola. He was very attentive to her and didn’t waste any time getting the information he needed and taking her back to be evaluated further. Dr. Owens was very thorough and honest when explaining to us what all of our options were and what she recommended for treatment. There were two ladies at the checkout that night as we left (I’m sorry I didn’t catch their names) that were very reassuring as I was visibly upset. They reassured us that we could call anytime throughout the night to checku on our puppy and that we wouldn’t be a bother at all. I am so thankful that this is near our home and that they took such good care of my puppy, Lola. Thank you AECOB!!!!!"
"We would like to come here and thank every single one of these professionals that worked the night we needed to unfortunately send our sweet Wendy over the rainbow bridge. You truly don't understand, the information on first call, the patience when we got there and the compassion after the fact. It was everything we needed in that time. We adopted sweet Wendy over 3 years ago at an old age and knew the day would come one day, she would've loved every one of y'all! Thank y'all again so much for being so professional and courteous at that time. I rarely do reviews but when we received the card in the mail that was everything to us! Thank you again!!"
"Absolutely the worst experience I’ve ever had with a veterinary clinic. If I could give 0 stars I would. I brought my dog in late on a weekend night for an emergency and this is what happened… When the vet came in she instantly came off as annoyed that she had to be there barely introduced herself to me and instead of talking to me about my concerns she just took my dog “to the back” to be examined. Then she came back (my dog was still in the back) and began to rattle off her opinions about what was wrong. She then told me that it was going to cost $450+ in order for her to do the x-ray and exam. This was just to diagnose her. I asked if there was any alternative to the x-ray and very visibly annoyed said verbatim “Yea we do, but it’s going to cost you thousands of dollars for the surgery she needs anyway”. My head about exploded. You mean to tell me that without actually knowing what was wrong with my dog…you just already decided that was what needed to be done!? They were trying to charge me over $4,000…I said no absolutely not…but then magically she was willing to treat her as an outpatient and give her antibiotics for the low cost of just $457!!! Again, no. Oh almost forgot before they came back with the lower price option they were sure to suggest euthanasia as a “cheaper option”. All of this while they were making me feel like absolute garbage for not wanting to pay an outrageous amount of money. Not to mention pressuring me to apply for Care Credit and Scratch Pay. My credit is not very good and I was unable to get approved. By the time I was trying to leave I had been there for almost three hours. All the while they kept my dog in the back and wouldn’t return her to me until I had paid the bill for $235. I got in touch with a low cost spay and neuter clinic and I took my girl in first thing the following morning. She made it through the surgery and it cost me $300 which they are allowing me to make payments on and she is going to make a full recovery. The people at Animal Emergency Care of Braselton prey on peoples love for their pets for money. Not once did I feel like they cared about my dog or myself. If you absolutely have no other option then expect to pay an outrageous price just be careful and make them tell you alternative options."
"I love Dr. Wilkes and the staff I met. I went in with my dog (Cavalier King Charles Spaniel) in July after a freak accident. I was told about what happened too late and unfortunately he was in bad shape and there wasn't anything that really could be done, but to have him put to sleep. I appreciate the way Dr. Wilkes explained everything and showed me personally what was going on in the x-rays (instead of just telling me). One of the things I appreciate most is her calm and caring demeanor. Even though the accident didn't happen under my watch, I still felt incredibly guilty over it, but she never was judgmental or made me feel bad about the situation. The staff is super friendly. Amanda at the front desk was super sweet, and pet him which he loved. I forgot the Technician's name but he was sweet and gentle when handling Bailey. It was a horrible situation but being there and having him being taken care of by the right people, made the process go smoother. To my surprise they asked me to wait out in my car for the mold of his paw and I recently got a handwritten card in the mail. Thank you so much for taking great care of my fur buddy!"
