Reviews
"Lena from the leasing center is very helpful and a genuinely kind person. She tries to help and get involved with any house problem you might have. I strongly recommend the place due to the leasing center staff."
"I have lived at the Atlantic Briarcliff for 2.5 years now. The management staff is friendly and attentive, and have always taken care of my concerns. Like any other apartment complex, there are issues that are just caused by living in close quarters with a lot of other people (accumulated trash, some pests/ bugs, some loud neighbors, etc). PSA: the gate is never closed and there is no tennis court, as pictured online, which was disappointing. Overall, maintenance always takes care of my concerns in a timely manor, there is plenty of parking for you and your guests, the apartments are spacious and designed well, and rent is reasonable for the area."
"I have really enjoyed living at the Atlantic Briarcliff – the location is ideal, and the neighborhood has been quiet, and my cats love sitting on the back deck. I really love my apartment unit – it feels fresh, even though the building is old. I (and especially my cats) love the sun room (I think Atlantic Briarcliff calls it an office on their layouts). The apartment is very open, and I like that the bedrooms are on opposite sides of the unit. I've seen a few roaches ("palmetto bugs"), etc, as mentioned in other reviews, but I've seen them in every apartment I've lived in around Atlanta, so I can't fault the community for them. The maintenance is short-staffed, but I think they do a good job of triaging urgent maintenance issues from less urgent ones. The gates have not worked since I moved in around 3 months ago (April 2023). That being said, I don't even feel like gates are necessary – the area feels safe to me, and personally, I would rather not deal with a key fob to get into the complex. Overall, I've been very happy living at the Atlantic Briarcliff – the people have been nice, the amenities work for me, and the location is amazing."
"I moved into the Atlantic Briarcliff Apartments in June 2022 and immediately noticed piles of trash behind my apartment building and adjacent buildings (about 8 months now). I’ve notified management multiple times- about once a month or so requesting status updates- but the trash conditions appear unchanged, if not worse. I spoke with a neighbor of mine who had lived there about 8 years and she said there has always been some level of trash behind the apartment. The trash piles are directly behind the complex, away from prying eyes unless your balcony overlooks it, so I believe management just doesn’t care to fix it. Management says that they believe the tenants are throwing their trash over the balconies because the nearest trash depot is on the other side of the complex- which is a problem in itself. But the complex is not (or is taking their sweet time) cleaning it up or taking any steps to deter the littering. There are trash bags hanging in the trees that I see outside my window every day. Each time I reach out to management, they offer excuses for why they just ‘haven’t gotten to it yet’, but 1 year is long enough and they have actively chosen not to hire a trash company. They are in no rush to clean it up and the trash will continue to sit there, polluting the ecosystem, for as long as it takes for someone to enforce them. I feel strongly about the safety and cleanliness of the environment, and I am passionate environmentalist. I offered multiple times to help/participate in a clean-up crew but none of my efforts have led to any results. At the start of my lease, I cleaned up 2 trash bags worth myself, but it became obvious that the issue deserved much more attention, with rotting materials that seem to have been their well over a year, if not longer. I believe that the standards of apartment living include a clean, well-kept environment for healthy living. Currently, or at least for over a year, the complex management is neglecting this issue and warrants further investigation."
"PLS read. I don't have all the photos. They removed my mothers review, I guess she told too much truth and exposure. Someone needs to call the news out there or something. The model is to reel you in. My mother asked for an apartment to be like the model, she request first floor apartment with the bridge like walkway to go into the apartment. Because she is over 60. They said that wasn't an issue. She paid her money (they're still doing money orders in 2022). She called them 2 days before move in, and the lady in the office with the big nose said she forgot to tell my mom that they haven't installed the new carpet. I was the only person helping my mother move. The day of moving we were on time and ready to drop the first load off, my mom called and the dude said the lady wasn't available and if he could help. She explained her frustrations and his response was, "you act like you don't want new carpet" and "this isn't my fault." We pulled up regardless if they were done or not to unload, some Asian guy was in there fooling around. Guys!!! The apartment was on the third floor! It was nasty, trash on the breezeway, stairs, patio. Hole in the wall that the lady with the big nose act like she didn't know about. Thermostat hanging. Ice tray had a filthy brown stain. The lady with the big nose said "you can use it, it's just a stain." Broken tiles on fireplace. Collapsed ceiling in dining room, painted tubs, cracked toilet, broken sliding door, mix match washer/dryer that are ancient! The list goes on. The floor is obviously unleveled. It smelled like it had been sitting and not clean. She claim the Asian guy was painting the fireplace. When we got there he was too busy watching us and never touched the fireplace. My mother asked if the lady with the big nose could come thru a walk thru because it was a mess, she refused. They never gave her a remote for the gate or a code! She had to chase them down for that. Note- you have to pay for a remote when you're already overpaying for these ghetto apartments. The fire sprinkler on the ceiling has no bracket around it so its exposed. There is NOWHERE to park. I really wish my mother would've got her money order and moved somewhere else. A regular couch doesnt fit in the door or patio door. That's furniture down the drain. I'm sure im still missing more info. Management don't even waste your time responding. These places need to be shut down and those two idiots in the leasing office don't deserve a job. They lack compassion and think it's funny. I saw the smirks on their face. I kept quiet because my mother has to live there and by now if they see this they will know who I am but it doesn't matter anymore."
