"While the process of obtaining this apartment wasn’t the most pleasant experience as a first time renter, I am enjoying the community so far. There are a few things that need to be addressed, however, nothing happens overnight. Extending grace to the office staff as they are working to ensure that the community is taken care of and probably picking up the pieces of the previous property owners. Marcus, and the maintenance team are awesome. Very professional and courteous, and explains everything in detail. Turnaround time from submission of request to completion is pretty quick as well. Greatly appreciated!"
"WHEW! So let me start off by saying I moved here last year when it was known as “The Oxford”. When I first moved here it had its minor issues but previous management was a lot better. I’ve never really had an issue getting anything resolved with them. Bugs are an issue here no matter how clean you are. I stopped leaving my trash outside because the cats will get into your trash and valet trash will refuse to take it for that reason. Trash is constantly piling at the front of the complex. The doors to the mailboxes have been broken for months anyone can just take your mail. They installed a gate that’s never closed & was supposed to be functional ever since July. The new management of the “Elme” is terrible. The office lost my money order for rent. Kathleen never answers or responds to emails. Starting in July I started having a huge mold problem. (UNIT 913 TO BE EXACT) Emailed Kathleen multiple times about it with no response. I had to basically harass them to even come look at my apartment to confirm it was mold and once they did still NOTHING WAS DONE ABOUT IT. All they had to say was keep the air on. Yet the vent in my room was broken so it was hot 24/7 even with the ceiling fan on. So for months I had a mold issue growing in my apartment with me and a small child there. I’ve had to throw out a lot of me and my child’s my belongings due to mold. My apartment was also very poorly put together like it was a rushed job and also wasn’t the cleanest upon move-in.. Management actually had the audacity to ask me if I wanted to renew my lease. I could go on an on but moral of the story is save your money & DON’T RENT HERE!"
"UPDATE: 10/2023: Wanted to give a shout to to Kathleen, the property manager here. Thank you Kathleen for caring and fixing all our issues! You really made us feel heard. 9/2023: This new management is NOT it. I thought it would be a good thing when I saw they were installing the gates and keypad locks but that’s all for show. I put a maintenance order for a leak about 2 months ago and still no one has come to address it. Meanwhile another leak started to occur due to a clog in the AC room which caused the water to go thru the carpet in my main bedroom , when I called the front office or even the emergency maintenance they made it seem like I was bothering them?? It seems like you can’t get anything done over the phone or with the maintenance orders you just have to go directly to the office and DEMAND they fix your issue. And then they roll their eyes as if it’s not their job. Also it doesn’t make sense that you have to call every week and tell them YOURSELF that you would like to be added to the list of extermination even though you’re paying monthly for it?"
"Just moved her bout a month ago and I love it. I overlook the lake and it’s so peaceful. Had a maintenance issue and Marcus was quick, efficient and courteous, he explained everything. The property manger Kathleen responds to you quickly when you have any concerns. Thanks again guys."
