"Shar is an exceptional leasing agent! Her energy is explosive and unlike anyone I've met in the business. The concierge was extremely nice as well. The apartment looked really good! I especially loved the bathroom layout. You definitely won't be disappointed in the tour."
"12/31/23 update: Still love living here but the experience has not been that great anymore. Only one elevator works and it takes about 10-15mins. The sky lounge area was the best part of this apt complex but it has been closed since June for renovation. Initially we were told that it will be ready in 3 months but it’s been 7 months and it’s still not ready. This is a true luxury apartment complex. I was on the hunt for a good apartment for a while and I toured several apartment complexes before locking this one in and this is the best one amongst all of them. The apartment looks gorgeous and is very spacious, hallways are always super clean, maintenance request gets taken care of in less than 24hours and the leasing staff is very nice and friendly. Special thanks to Shianne from the leasing office for showing the apartment very last minute and helping with the move in process."
"This property is the most inconvenient property I’ve ever lived or visited. So, last night the city of Atlanta had a water main break and they cut the gas off. So no showers and you can’t cook. Perfect for Christmas Eve. This is about the 3rd time this has happened, what a way to end the year. This morning we awake, and the water is back in but it’s coming out brown and gray. How fun. Even more hilarious, we accidentally leave our phone in the house so now we can’t get back in. It’s Christmas Day and we’re locked outside of our $3500 a month apartment. The key fobs only work for the elevator. They only give you one access code for the front door which is only accessible by one persons phone. If you want another code, you have to pay a fee of $150. This apartment has been a money grab. Extra money per month for an additional car (who cares if people park in your spot) Renovations all year long. Can’t enjoy any amenities. I’m now waiting in the lobby for the emergency maintenance man to come an unlock our door. We’ve been waiting since 5:30. He says he will be here at 9pm. Fun times and Merry Christmas. I hate it here."
"Updated Review After living here for over a year here is my honest opinion. The apartment is not bad at all and I was going to renew, but move to a different unit. The new renovations look amazing. It’s really giving luxury. Maintenance gets 5 stars. I love them and they are quick with any request. Best maintenance team ever! Gate works 95% of the time, our fobs went out a few times but they are updating them to Yale, always issues with the elevators. We are down to one right now so the wait is always about 5 minutes. You are better off taking the stairs. Parking garages are secure and we never have break-ins. Visitors parking is okay. My visit registered, paid, and was still booted. Took me forever to get a refund. My unit was cool. The sunlight that gets in is lovely. The walls are super thin though and neighbors blast music all times of the day and night. The weed smoking has went down. When I first moved in it was horrible. It has gotten better, but people still smoke in the units although we are “smoke free.” So as far as my experience it was cool. On the flip side my only complaints was the leasing team. I complained multiple times about my neighbor and their filthy patio. Nothing was ever done. The entire summer went by and I was never able to enjoy my views because of the filth and smell. I had to endure an entire year of the filth and they recently moved out so now it’s clean. I’ll share some of the pictures. Also I was getting bit by something in my unit. I called pest control. He checked everywhere and confirm there was nothing. He stated if I wanted it sprayed they would charge me extra. Like what?? Why are we paying for pest control when we have to pay extra to use it. I ended up paying a different company when I’m paying a monthly fee for something I can’t even use. The people that work in the office was sweet. One of the managers named Patricia is very nice. Moving out however has not been easy. You are required to give a 60 day notice. I am aware. I planned to renew, but my job was relocating and informed me a month ago. Immediately I let my apartment know I wasn’t renewing. I gave a 30 day notice. My lease was ending Dec. 21. My job would not be covering any fees because my lease was ending anyway. The manager tells me I’m responsible for an additional 30 days even though I explained the situation. Cool I wasn’t upset because it is in the lease so that’s fine. But this lady tells me to tell them to pay the extra month I have to pay. What type of sense does that make. My lease was ending either way so why would my job cover those fees? That comment irritated me immediately. Anyway I’m moving out, but will not be turning in my keys until my 60 days notice is up. I’m not paying rent just for you to put another tenant in here and get double rent. Hell no. Also aside of your base rent you will be paying an additional 250+300 in fees. But overall the place is a nice place to live with just some minor issues. I would have renewed if I didn’t have to move. Everyone that lives here seems nice and respectful. Other than just a few residents that destroy and make the property look unkept. I’ll be posting more pictures of my unit after I move out."
"I have been living here for the past 4 years. Initially, it was a great place to live, and I really enjoyed the property, but the past year the building has gone downhill. Management is very unhelpful especially when it comes to people parking in your parking spot, which we are required to pay $75 a month for. I have sent various emails and complaints about people parking in my parking and very little to nothing has been done to remedy this problem aside from putting a "warning" on the person's car and telling you to park somewhere else. What is the point of having an assigned parking spot when the majority of the time, someone is parking in it, and you are forced to park somewhere else? The building used to be very clean and the cleaning services and maintenance used to do a phenomenal job with upkeeping the building, but now it is straight-up disgusting. There have been several instances where residents have left food in the hallways, and it would take days for it to be cleaned up (luckily, we didn't end up with roaches or ants). The carpets are also disgusting and have stains everywhere. The hallways reek of weed but it also just smells in general. Also, beware of random fees, which I have not gotten any explanation of what they are, which add an additional $200 on top of your rent. The appliances in the apartments are outdated also, and if I am going to be paying this exuberant amount of rent, the least that could be done is update the appliances, but instead, management wants to "renovate" everywhere else... Overall, Venue Brookwood used to be a pleasant place to live. However, the building has gone downhill. I am so happy that my lease is up, and I will be moving somewhere else."
