"If this looks fun to you, by all means move in. This was multiple roof leaks, mold and damage I had to endure while living there April 2021-June 2023. They denied my request to move several times which resulted in me having several cases of pneumonia and giving my daughter asthma attacks which resulted in my daughter having to move in with my mom instead because I couldn’t afford to go anywhere else. Not only that, but I had to terminate my lease due to domestic violence while pregnant to flee to a shelter. I provided proper documentation and paid out the last month I owed. Where they have me in a chokehold is Georgia law states (Ga. Code § 44-7-23(d) ) “ Such tenant shall be liable for the rent due under such agreement prorated to the effective date of the termination, payable at such time as would have otherwise been required by the terms of such agreement, and for any delinquent or unpaid rent or other sums owed to the landlord prior to the termination of such agreement. The tenant shall NOT be liable for any other fees, rent, or damages due to the early termination of the tenancy as provided for in this Code section.” (e) This Code section shall not be waived or modified by the agreement of the parties under any circumstances. OCGA § 44-7-23 But yet, I’m in collections for not being able to move furniture 6 months pregnant fleeing from domestic violence. I’ve tried to remedy this amicably with no solution. My next step is legal action. I have every single email exchange and pictures with dates to prove anything I’ve just said. I wasn’t even treated like a human while living there. Now they want $1700 for not being able to move a bed, and a couch ect. when realistically they owe me more than that due to everything I’ve lost living there and me catching pneumonia repeatedly and having to miss work. When they finally attempted to “fix” my apartment they made me sleep on the floor in an empty to unit for a week and locked me out of my apartment until it was done. Literally had to sleep like a dog on the floor. They don’t care about you or your family. Now I can’t even leave the domestic violence shelter with my newborn because this is on my record."
"I experienced multiple break in attempts to the apt and even when I provided a police report and camera proof the property manager B. Williams never responded to my email. I had a small issue and the assistant property manager J Tavarez never responded. When Ive gone to the office they are never there. Youre luckily if someone answers the phone so far its been 14 calls and 1 being answered. When I informed front office about the criminal activity it was said the gate would be fixed. They started to but never actually finished fixing. You pay $20 a month for valet trash plus a charge for the big dumpsters yet valet might come 2 times a week when its stated 6 days a week. They are also changing that amount to which they still havent said how much the rate is. Beginning Jan 2024 now you have to pay for the whole building's trash which you have around 10 units per building and it will be divided by everyone in the building. So if your neighbor constantly has trash and you dont, youre still paying up. Building's washer machine is still broken after I report it to C&G. I had to stop reporting numerous things including to security because the message thread kept getting longer and its not my job. I have to clean my shared breeze way since landscapers nor groundskeeper do that. Landscapers pee next to my window here and there. Across my balcony its turning into a small landfill full of trash from it being pushed by the wind, residents dumping there and because the feral cats, possums and raccoons go into my all of my neighbors trash. The cats are cool and so are the possums. The raccoons suck, they climb up to my upstairs neighbor to grab their bird seeds and always make a mess on my balcony. On a good week you might hear 2 gun shots a week. Once a week theres a group somewhere in the complex drinking outside and smashing beer bottles because youll hear them at night.Mail packages go missing or stolen so dont get mail delivered there. Mail being stolen is a very common thing people will break into your mailbox. They send out excessive email blasts specially now about balconies. Like why not have someone simply get up off their behind and deliver warning notices to the residents who are making it an issue. The 2.5 stars are 1 because rent is cheap so far no issues with my unit itself and Ive kept the place impeccable. 1.5 because Nayra made the move-in process smooth and rapid. What will make me turn this review to 5 stars? Management responding in general . Nayra becoming property manager or assistant since she at least shows empathy and gets things going. Get the valet trash company to do its job or dont charge us the fee. Also let us know the new valet trash rate. Have an employee actually walk the complex and see its condition and make adequate changes . Hire someone to actually do grounds work and pick up the trash all around the property (hire me if you cant find someone). Have security patrol around the property every so often not just park at the entrance. Use the CRM efficiently so that we dont have to get email blasted every damn day and that way you dont get marked as spam so we dont miss the actual news that matter. Fix the gate it should do more than just sit there as decoration. The complex really has the potential to be the best community in all of Dekalb if managed properly. No I will not contact the office since Ive done it already and failed to address my concerns."
"I've just recently moved here and its nice for the most part, more importantly it's AFFORDABLE which is all that matters for me. I've never had a package stolen.no car break-ins. Never had any roaches,(other than lots of siders from the tree's) and maintenance answers my request immediately. there is a stray CAT problem. But I am happy so far."
"Nayra has made this move in process the easiest I’ve ever been through. She emails back so fast that it feels like we are texting! I love the apartment it’s so cozy and so far the maintenance is on point! So happy to have made the decision to move here ❤️"
"I’ve lived here six years and I can honestly say that this place has improved so much over the last year. The new office team, property management and maintenance team have really done a lot of work to turn the place around. The leasing office manager has personally addressed any issues I’ve had and had them promptly resolved. A couple years ago I would not have recommended this place as there was so much work to be done. I appreciate the current administration for working so hard and making it a better place to call home."
