Reviews of Wood Terrace Apartments
"5 stars for how nice the staff is. Exceptional customer service. 1 star for terrible maintenance staff - maybe they are short staffed but response time for maintenance issues is the worst I have experienced while living in Atlanta. Bar none. It is a continuous stream of having to resubmit work order requests, calling the office for why something wasn't fixed, or going there in person. I think the apartment complex just doesn't care...Do Not rent from this place."
"We came to Wood terrace apt in look for an apartment, we were helped by Andrea Garcia. Her feedback towards our queries was amazing! It was fast and confirmed. At first we werent able to find a perfect apartments for us because of availability issues but about 2 hours later Andrea called us and informed us about an apartment. It was a really good experience!"
"I used to live in these apartments a few years ago. The ROACHES were so bad that I had to throw away all my furniture when I moved out. I’m talking thousands upon thousands of little baby roaches. It was the most disgusting thing I have ever experienced in my life! The exterminators were useless. There were even roaches out in the hallways and in the parking lot. I once found a rat in my apartment as well. Also, during the hot summer months you can smell the raw sewage seeping up through the ground. The dumpster was usually overflowing with so much garbage that you could have literally filled a second one up to the top. I’m surprised the health department has not condemned this place. There was also a huge water leak that almost caused the ceiling to collapse. The gate was always messing up and didn’t work. The pool smelled like pee. Oh, and they accused me of dumping dirty diapers in front of the mailboxes simply because I had thrown my mail in the garbage can earlier that day. That was really rich. To add to the list (it’s really long lol) they repaved the parking lot one summer and would just toe my car away with no warning. Trying to find my car the next morning before I had to go to work was really fun! I wouldn’t call this the safest place to live either by any means. One day, shortly before moving out I noticed one of the windows had been smashed. The people living there would also steal your mail. I found my mailbox smashed open as well. The power was always going out. The water was always being “worked on.” I could go on and on and on. The point I am trying to make is this. If you are looking for an apartment and are thinking of moving into this place, RUN AWAY!! RUN FAR AWAY!!!"
"I lived here for about three months before management called me to tell me I had two weeks to vacate so they could install fire sprinklers. In total I was here for about four months. Beyond that wildly frustrating situation, my unit was so humid I bought a dehumidifier that would fill up within 24 hours, and the kitchen was absolutely infested with tiny little bugs. It turned out to be a blessing to leave."
"Please do not let these 5 star reviews fool you. Do yourself a favor. Save yourself the stress. Go live somewhere else. I couldn’t even stay out my full lease because of how many issues this place has. Department of Health is investigating. 1.) This place is thoroughly infested with roaches, palmetto bugs and beetles. You will find them everywhere. I’ve purchased so many products and had the property’s pest control spray the unit many times. It doesn’t matter how clean you are, roaches will be everywhere. I’ve already left and I’m finding roaches in the furniture that I moved with. It’s embarrassing. 2.) In my unit, each time it rained, my ceiling leaked. I informed maintenance of this many times and they let me know to put down a towel or a bucket to catch the water, as "there is nothing that we can do about it now. We just need to schedule to get the roof fixed". I complained about this for 5 months. They never scheduled to have the roof fixed. 3.) I put in a maintenance request regarding water spots that grew on my ceiling each time it rained. I specifically requested that no one enter my apartment if I am not present. Against my instructions, someone from maintenance entered my apartment and painted the wet marks white, covering the problem, but not solving it. They got paint all over my work-from-home station, including my two monitors, docking station and desk. I called and emailed them about this many times. They came by and took pictures but the issue was never resolved. They destroyed my property and did absolutely nothing about it. 4.) This place has a nice pool that you may never use. They always close it abruptly and disregard the pool schedule. They’ve sent emails about fecal bacteria and other harmful bacteria that was found in the pool. There’s always an issue with the pool. Don’t suggest you ever use it. 5.) I have no idea why they have a gate with codes and keys. The gate is ALWAYS broken and wide open. I can probably count on one hand how many times I needed to use the key to get in. 6.) This place does not have security deposits. When you’re moving in, they make it seem like they do. They call it a security deposit and ask for your money. Then when you’re moving out and you ask for it back, they say that it wasn’t a security deposit. It’s a “non-refundable leasing fee”. Whatever that means. So you’ll pay all that money to move in and you will not get it back simply because they named it something else."
