"I wouldn’t recommend staying here unless your other option was on the streets. Rights will be violated and life will be made unnecessarily harder. I’ve been living here since 2022, and every month something happens that makes my experience worse. Upon my first year here I had no furniture in the living area for 2 months while having to battle roaches and gnats. We have two elevators however only one is ever functional, and if that one messes up then management will decide to fix the other but we can never have them both working at the same time, lol. Speaking of management, we have had at least 3 different “teams” considered to be management within the last year. The overlap of unprofessionalism causes strain on the residents who are expected to figure issues out themselves while still paying $1200+ a month for rent. Parking ranges from $150-$250 a month but even if you pay your fee, you still aren’t promised a parking spot if you come home too late. Then, if you decide to park in the upstairs portion of the parking garage you will be ticketed or booted with no help from the 200 Edgewood team even though you literally had no place to park downstairs. But before we even get to the parking spots, let’s discuss how the garage gates to the parking garage were broken for over 3 months so they only opened randomly. But I guess since that was over the summer that wasn’t an issue they wanted to fix even though residents sign leases from August - July 31 of every year. More recently, the exit garage door has not been working so you have to go through the entrance gate, all of this just to not be promised a spot to park in even after you’ve paid. Today, January 26, 2024 at 3:33pm I reached my breaking point. I was in my home, in my room that I pay for every month, laying down with my music playing when I kept hearing a banging noise. I assumed it was my dog climbing on her cage but as it got louder I tried to exit my room just to be startled by a random man standing in my kitchen. Once noticed he started saying “maintenance” and I told them they needed to wait because I was half naked. He simply turned his back to me but stayed in my home by the door waiting for me to come back out. As I stated before, the management teams change very often along with the maintenance men. Alongside that, I own a device that keeps people from breaking into my home atleast while I’m here, which I will upload a picture of. When I clothed myself and came back out my first question was “How did you get in!?” Which was met with, “well we do have a key.” I informed him that they MUST HAVE broken my door down to which he responds, “why would I break something that I have to fix?” Then my allegations were ignored for the rest of the time they were in my home. Even through my questions and stress more people started to enter my home walking around saying that they were conducting inspections. Inspections were scheduled for January 25 at 10am…. I have never felt so helpless, trapped, and violated in my life. I can’t break my lease because I am an out of state college student, there is no affordable housing, and I will still be responsible for the bills here even if I did leave. I beg all parents and students to stay far away from this place it is horrible and if I could give it 0 stars I would."
"I wouldn’t recommend anyone living here on their worst day. Not right now at least for many reasons. One reason is that we have 2 elevators but either both are always broken, or 1 only works but takes FOREVER to come up or down because everyone’s using that 1 elevator. Second reason is that there are so many roaches outside in the back patio that I can’t even sit out there to relax or study even. We each pay at least $1300+ per month and we can’t even use all of the amenities that they advertise. I complained about the issue but they stated “We can’t do anything about that because roaches live outside”. Third reason is that no one is literally ever at the desk or leasing office. The hours will be in operation, but no one will ever be there. And the staff changes all the time where I can’t even build a relationship with any of the staff. They don’t even speak when they are there. Fourth reason is that I do have concerns about our safety. Last week there was a homeless man roaming around our building and entering unlocked rooms, and a girl happened to be in one of them. (mind you this is not the first time this incident has happened…..) I know our apartment doors should always be locked, but if we supposedly have security at night and staff during the day, how is a homeless man entering our building and gaining access to go up the elevator or stairs and enter rooms? There needs to be a strategy for more security. They need to fix our elevators because it’s actually discrimination against elderly people and people with disabilities who live here and can’t walk. And they need to pay staff more, that’s why the turn over rate is so high. Also, they can literally fix the outside back patio issue by investing in patio bug repellent resources. It’s not taboo, everyone with a back patio does not have that issue.."
"I stayed here for the 2021-2022 school year, and honestly this was the worst place I have ever resided in my for academic career at GSU. Let’s start off with how my apartment had an infestation of roaches. I had 200 Edgewood’s pest control come in weekly to spray; had a roach bomb; and had an outside company come and spray the place. They even had to place roach birth control behind my fridge, and that still didn’t do anything to get rid of the infestation. I would wake up and roaches would be on the ceiling; roaches would be in my sink; roaches would be in my kitchen; roaches would be in my living room; roaches would be in my closet; roaches were even in my bathtub. I had to get rid of my clothes and make up, because roaches were crawling through my things. I had to ended up breaking my lease and moving to The Mix, and that says a lot. I had a better experience there even with everything they have going on with the crime and the Racetrac area of the campus. I don’t recommend this place for any student or anybody period. It’s not a good environment. They cut off the internet randomly and don’t tell anybody. They would cut off the internet in the middle of my exams, and I failed a test because of that, and had to bring proof to my professor. They just made my undergrad career inconvenient. All they care about is getting their money. They made the process breaking my lease and subletting my apartment so difficult. The leasing staff wasn’t helpful at all! If you’re looking to move off-campus, just go ahead and already eliminate this place as an option. It’s not worth it."
"This location is the worst. College students BEWARE ! I was trapped inside my lease. I tried to cancel due to student loans, but they would not let me ( it had only been 9 days and I paid NO DEPOSIT . They told me I only had 72 hours to cancel and if I don’t pay I will have an eviction on my credit. Julian (He ) did not care at all and soon quit ) Now that I have moved in there’s dog poop all in the courtyard, the elevators haven’t been working for two months , The security guards don’t get me started!! I think one of them takes their job seriously everybody else tries to flirt with the students and are rarely at the desk. They let none students live here which is so dangerous , this couple was arguing the other day and completely trashed the outside area . Maintenance and Cleaning really do try ! I’ll give them that . I was locked out of my apartment once, and I had to literally wait the next day For them to open up my door. Student Quarters are horrible as well and they’re supposed to be corporate of 200 Edgewood . I know you probably want to stay in Atlanta but don’t waste your time here."
"It’s literally new ppl here every week it’s getting ridiculous! The staff don’t speak don’t say hello. Barely at the front desk, the new leasing manager so uppity she doesn’t even speak. She looks at you like she better than you. Thank God for Kennedy. What happened to saying good morning actually smiling at people. The stairwells are dirty and maintenance is slow"
