"Update: good to know that the old management company sold this property. It might be somewhat livable now. Probably not though. Avoid if you can. Original review: Where do I start? Oh yeah - All positive reviews are FAKE. This community is borderline unlivable. My girlfriend lived here for 3 years so I am very familiar with the complex and area. The management is basically non existent. I'm convinced that nobody actually works in the leasing office. The gate is ALWAYS open. Might as well uninstall it because it serves zero purpose. Bugs are everywhere inside and outside the units (including fleas). There are animals living inside the walls. The grounds are poorly maintained. Routine maintenance orders will take days or weeks. Living here will most likely affect your mental health with all the issues you will deal with. Very thankful that my girlfriend no longer lives here because this place was an absolute nightmare for her at times. It's crazy that they charge rent for people to live here. Do yourself a favor and live literally anywhere else. I anticipate a response from management on this review, which is ironic because they don't even respond to their own residents."

"You have to physically go to the office if you have a question or concern because they never pick up the phone. If you work a 9-5 good luck trying to reach someone by phone. They also need to be educated on customer service skills!!! Apartments and appliances are outdated and gates have never work while living there for 3 years."

"Montrose Brookhaven is a wonderful and beautiful place to live. It is very family oriented, and pet friendly. The management here is amazing. Any time I has an issue they are always ready to figure it out. Also they work with a sense of urgency when you bring things to the attention."

"I have lived in Atlanta for almost 4 years now and this apartment complex is by far the worst. The management does not care about your issues, even if you submit a written maintenance request or call. The photos and videos I attached are from when my bathroom flooded for the 4th time. Management ignored me and refused to respond to my emails and calls. After almost a month, they hired a "contractor" who painted over the wall in a sorry attempt to fix the flooding. The carpet connecting my bedroom to the bathroom was destroyed, the drywall had plastic bags covering the holes from where another contractor sawed through them to fix the leak. I asked them to fix the carpet and drywall twice, to which I was ignored again. On top of that, we had to go without a dishwasher for over a month after ours broke because we got no response from maintenance or management, people kept dumping their trash and furniture outside of our apartments, etc. Needless to say, if you value your money, time, patience, and dignity, do not live in this sorry excuse for a complex."
