"Extremely disappointed with this complex and would never refer anyone. Initially I was really excited to move to Avana Uptown, I searched for what I thought was the perfect apartment. The leasing office (at the time) was sweet and very helpful with the application and move in process. Sadly that is where the great experience started and ended. During my stay there were constant random, short notices of them needing to enter some apartments for 3rd party inspections reasons but they never knew WHICH apartments the inspections would take place. They would send out short notices stating inspections would take 2-3 days and to crate our animals only for me to watch my ring camera and see my apartment would never get inspected. Even the notices about all apartments being inspected mine rarely was. The appliances are also old and outdated. In 1 year my microwave door handle fell off, multiple kitchen drawer handles, the cheap wood peeling on and around the drawers and cabinets, the refrigerator frame sealant would constantly unstick, my AC had to be repaired 4x then replaced finally, there was rust around the toilet that wouldn't scrub away, multiple ear piercing fire alarms and multiple episodes of embarrassment due to trash chutes overflowing and being visible to anyone driving up the parking garage. The trash compactor would constantly over flow (due to folks throwing their own trash away because VALET didn't come) but take WEEKS for them to have it cleared. By the 8 month mark I knew fully I would not be resigning my lease. I have never moved out of an apartment after only 1 year but with Avana Uptown it just made sense. It made me sad as I was super excited moving in but it's a harsh reminder that better quality doesn't always come with the higher price tag. My experience moving out was horrid. The property manager Shawn entered my move out date incorrectly twice. The second time it was entered in that I moved out a day after my lease ended. This caused my final bill to be higher. When I called she was of absolutely no help and kept telling me she would look into it and call back. Of course never got a call. The managers were recent hires when I was moving out so it made it even easier for them to just not care. They are literally there to dress up, smile and show the apartments. Even the assistant property managers have no real authority to do anything. When real problems arise it's phone tag. The lady Lysa who usually answers has to ALWAYS transfer you to the Assistant Manager who THEN has to wait for the Property managers answer. In the end I just decided to pay the incorrect invoice because my sanity and credit was more important than the extra $100. I would never recommend anyone taking a chance at the headache I had living here."

"DO NOT LIVE HERE!! If I could give ZERO stars I would. We lived there for 14 months. The entire building smells like weed. After the office closes mid day Saturday, unauthorized parties breakout at the pool with loud obnoxious rap music with DJs. We had nothing but problems with our apartment. In the month of July 2020 in Atlanta heat we were without Air conditioning for 19 days!. The maintenance guys would come and piddle with whatever and you won't see them again for two or three days. To still no AC. I received a fine for $175 for leaving my trash in the elevator.?? I paid for trash valet and only ever put my trash outside my door like I was supposed to. I had to contact the office and say that perhaps it was the trash valet that left it in the elevator. DUH Jeesh! Then months after we moved they got the nerve to call me and say that I still owed them money! I called the corporate office and explained the situation and they said don't worry about it, they'll handle it! Well guess what? They didn't! Now three years later Whatever money they say I owed was sent to collections. GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING!!!!!!!!!! Lesson Learned!"
