"Tyler and Taylor from the leasing office have been very welcoming and helpful! You can’t beat the location of the apartment complex and I have been very impressed with the finishes of my new unit. Highly recommend the property!"
"I do not recommend this apartment for a few reasons. There is a general lack of support / not giving the tenants the benefit of the doubt so if you can imagine a way to make your life more difficult north highland will find a way. I with share a couple out of many examples: A notable issue I had was with the one elevator in the building breaking down semi regularly and taking up to a week sometimes to fix. You would think that with only one working elevator the high importance it would be to fix asap. On the day before my move out to no surprise the elevator was broken. The staff told me maintenance would come that night or the morning and to no surprise again they did not. With no time to hire a moving service me and my nearly 70 year old mother carried my one bedroom apartment down multiple flights of stairs and were late to our destination because of it. For this reason alone save yourself the headache that will come with a broken elevator when you move in or out and choose a different apartment complex. Additionally north highland offered no form of accommodation to make up for this. They enforced a third party delivery service because they were tired of storing packages for tenants in the back room so we have a different address for packages and the one time I was sent a surprise package from my work to my mail address they turned the package away and I had to chase it down and go to a post office during their office hours which is my working hours. This could have been avoided if they just gave me the benefit of the doubt this one time and held onto it for a moment and notified me which I would have picked it up immediately. Supposedly the policy is to turn away all packages not sent through the delivery service so I hope this paints a clear picture of the staff you will be dealing with. For a luxury apartment, my apartment just looked really worn out and the apartments are exposed to the outside and not completely walled off with very dirty floors so it gives off seedy motel vibes. Overall if it comes down to paying a little more for a different apartment complex and maybe even entirely different apartment ownership in a similar location I would recommend that instead. Update in response to the comment: I do not accept your apology. If you were really sorry and wanted to make it up to me you would offer financial compensation for the inconvenience it caused because of your malfunctioning services. Additionally you can scroll through the comments in the past about the trashed floors and clearly see this is not new issue. I’m surprised how much time passed without them being pressure washed or addressed in some capacity. It comes off as cheap and displays your lack of willingness to invest in a nicer environment because it literally is one phone call away in addition to lack of willingness to accommodate my situation. I hope many future prospective tenants read this and it deters them from living at north highland because you have had opportunities to be better for the community and continually drop the ball. My mental health has definitely improved since moving to a different complex."
"I love the location and although a bit outdated, the apartments are nice & spacious. I am shocked however of the condition of the hallways & common spaces and just how filthy they are. The hallways of the building surrounding the pool, have what looks like years of garbage juices & drippings staining the cement floors. Gunk and stains smeared on the walls in the hallways snd near the elevators. Regular cleaning and some fresh paint would be a huge improvement!"
"My favorite part of living at N. Highland Steel is being tucked away in the perfect neighborhood surrounded by restaurants and parks, not to mention direct access to the beltline. Tyler at the front office exemplifies service and professionalism! He is quickly responsive, supportive, and kind which I appreciate as a resident. While the unit could use an upgrade with the flooring, bathroom, and cabinets, the space is very open."
"N Highland Steel is an amazing place to live in the area (and in my opinion the whole world!)! Tyler makes it extra special. Tyler is incredibly professional, caring, and responsive, which encompasses the values of all of the staff and residents I have had the pleasure of interacting with. It’s the only apartment complex I’ve lived in and I’ve lived all over the world where I consistently feel safe, secure, and happy in my cozy little sanctuary. In my option, the only things that could be improved upon are the appliances and keeping the floors of the property hallways clean consistently."
