Skyhouse Buckhead

"DO NOT MOVE HERE! Save your money and your sanity and move else where. I can literally write a novel on my experience living here. I held off on this review hoping that it would get better but it has not. First in foremost when I moved in the condition of my apartment was piss poor. It was extremely dirty and my mom who was there with me on move in day was VERY disappointed. This was after my move in day was pushed back because the apartment wasn't ready. Within a couple weeks of moving in my car was broken into. There is NO security on site, which is outrageous for a Buckhead building. Shortly after that we had a NAT infestation which can be it's own review due to the trash chute being broken. That lasted basically two months. Literally didn't want to be home for almost TWO WHOLE MONTHS, imagine that. The elevators are always broken. Thankfully I don't stay higher up but I feel for those that have taken the stairs multiple times. There was a water intrusion, that caused water damage in the lobby and other areas of the building including my apartment. My floor didn't get fixed for TWO MONTHS. I was emailing the office constantly and there was no responses/ no sense of urgency. The office it's self deserves a whole other review and they would get ZERO stars. If you have an emergency situation you are screwed. They are so unresponsive and extremely neglectful it's honestly sad. They are getting paid to do nothing because helping the community and their residence is not happening. Maintenance request take FOREVER, so again god forbid you need something fixed or repaired quickly. I let the assistant manager know that my neighbor has an AIRBNB, and some of the guest are very loud and have no respect for those of us who stay in the building. He responded with "we've never received a complaint for this unit". Literally no care in the world. The building get's extremely dirty on the weekends. They are too cheap to pay for weekend service so just know on the weekends there will be poop in the stairwell, the trash in the common areas will be overly full. It will smell and there will be piss in the elevators. I am writing this as a very frustrated individual and I speak for a lot of other residents. I can keep going but I'll stop here. I literally cannot wait till my lease ENDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"I recently just moved back to SH and the experience so far has been nothing short of being right at home. From the friendly concierge/maintenance staff to the welcoming leasing management. Special shout to Jade in the leasing office, she handled my move in and made sure everything went smooth and was accommodating for me. Also, shout out to Jordan. I had an issue with my door lock and as I was about to put in a maintenance request, he offered to go up and fix the issue himself."

"I moved my mother in two weeks ago and the apartment was beyond disgusting! No one walked the apartment before we moved in then they tried to blame it on rushing when there wasn't a rush on my moms end. They tried to say it was only that specific apartment and took me to others that were dirty as well. Even the common areas and halls were disgusting. The elevator makes noises as well and the communication button on the elevator is always going off. The property manager stated that it was due to them wanting to sell the location but this isn't any excuse! Do NOT lease WITHOUT looking!"

"Nice apartments and the price seems on par with the area. I will say, if you can't deal with the smell of Marijuana, it is a common scent in the elevators, but that only takes one person and has nothing to do with the building. I am not a resident but have spent a considerable amount of time there. The views are amazing, and being that the love of my life lives there, I have when any times to the most beautiful sunrises and looking over 400 from the 20th floor. I have always been surprised by the noise from sirens, engines, and anything that may be taking place outside as it gets quite loud. As a guest, you will be charged $6.00 each day, and that is reasonable. I will say the only thing that sticks out besides noise is the water temperature in the shower. It is a toss-up. One day, you may need the hot all the way up, and the next, you may have the water almost turned off to be able to take the temperature on your skin. Personally, I would change the fixture or ask them to, but it is not my place. All in all, this is a decent place to live if you want to be in the city."
