"The staff at this complex is great. Lamont (the leader of the maintenance staff) was wonderful. He always made all appropriate repairs in a timely manner and was very kind and professional. Irena in the front office was also very kind and helpful. My main complaint was my apartment itself. My apartment flooded 3 separate times, saturating the carpet and making the entire room smell musty. Speaking of musty, the bathroom did not have good ventilation, as it always felt damp and smelled of mold. I even put DampRid bags in the bathroom to see if that helped with the mold smell but it didn't work. Every single window in the unit had dark mold all around the window and on the windowsill, I think maybe because they were not sealing completely. The bathroom also had mold on the ceiling. Upon moving in, the water was cold in the shower and the drain was clogged. Lamont fixed this promptly, but this is not an issue anybody wants to deal with immediately upon move-in.Especially since I am being hit with a $150 cleaning fee for the bathroom after my lease ended and inspection was completed. Overall, for nearly $1,700 per month for a 1bed/1 BR, the apartment itself is disappointing. This is why I moved. The apartment complex did have its perks. It was quiet and safe. There was little to no partying and a lot of families. There was always ample parking and no fighting for space. However, still not worth the price. I would have paid $1300 / month to stay in an apartment like that, not $1700."

"I am currently assigned as their pest management operator and their staff has been nothing phenomenal. Charlie, Christina, and Irina excel in customer service and professionalism. 1000/10 would recommend!!!! And FYI, get the hot chocolate they're serving!!! So delicious!!!"

"MAA This is a quiet residence with a lot of.families. If you are having parties, playing music all night long and being a nuisance. Additionally, if you’re looking to meet other singles and hang out THIS IS NOT THE RIGHT FIT, if you cause problems, you will have a lot of issues. This is a very mature apartment complex. I am a grateful resident at MAA Mt. Vernon. I am helped by staff that is both friendly and professional. Iryana, Charlie and Lamont always greet me with a smile. I feel that they care about their residents and the community as a whole. I’ve never once passed by a staff member and not been acknowledged. The maintenance staff works hard to keep the grounds clean, safe and get to work orders as promptly as possible. The front office staff shows their gratitude to the residents. Recently Iryna had Pumpkin Spice coffee all day and it put Starbucks to shame. I have nothing but appreciation to the current team at MAA Mt. Vernon."
