"From the moment I moved in, there were fleas in the carpet from the previous tenant! I had bite marks and welts all over my legs. The staff claimed their cleaning service worked on the unit prior to me moving in, but clearly not! It took an entire week of people coming in and out of my unit to try and clean the mess up. One of those individuals was let inside my unit while I was sleeping! I was woken up by him pounding on my bedroom door! I vacuumed the carpet numerous times and got a bunch of hair, fur, dirt, dust, etc. every single time, as if I hadn't just vacuumed it minutes before! In addition to the fleas, there were spider webs hanging from the light fixtures and ceiling. The lint trap of the dryer was also dirty. And two neighbors in particular had their big dogs out on the balcony constantly barking at everything and everyone. Super annoying! Not recommended!"

"I have lived at Hawthorne for almost a year and I absolutely love it! I just renewed my lease and I'm SO happy about staying here another year. I love the style of my apartment and all of the modern features! My 1 bedroom is so spacious and cozy. The grounds here are always kept nice and clean. The staff are superb. They are always super sweet and helpful, and the maintenance guys are top tier. Whenever I have an issue they are prompt and always so kind and professional. The amenities and events are additional great perks. The apartments sit right off the interstate, too, so it's very easy to get to wherever I need to go in no time. Hawthorne is overall such a wonderful place to live. It definitely feels like home for me. I can’t rave about it anymore because it’s just so much more that can be expressed. Look no further, welcome home! :-)"
