"The management was awful. Terminal manager was unable to get things done without calling headquarters, because the company loves to micromanage. Trucks and trailers were poorly maintained. Couldn't keep working forklifts at the terminal to unload and reload freight, would often have to use a pallet jack to unload my freight at the end of the day. No load straps or load bars to secure freight. Management didn't care how things were done, as long as they got done. Handheld, which you needed to be able to use to complete your job, was old and would never stay charged. Dispatch constantly calling to ask hows it going, what's taking so long. Constantly rushed. You can't rush a truck driver, that is very unsafe and coercive. The worst company I've ever worked for, and I've worked for Mount Vernon Mills, so that's saying something."

"quite frankly I am very surprised that they are still in business...I do not say this haphazardly either. I have been in the LTL world for over 20 years and while I know you get what you pay for...they have really gotten much worse over the last couple of years...It is a shame and puts a black eye on the whole industry for service. Low cost carrier means nothing if they don't pu freight for days on end..."

"They damaged my shipment- not reimbursed. They did not have the equipment to load it. The equipment they have belongs in a junkyard. They have the worst attitudes you can imagine. I got extorted an extra $1100 by these crooks to get my shipment. Any positive review on here check employment sites like Lin-k-ed In and you'll see the positive reviews were left by customers."

"No call, no show for three days in a row despite multiple requests to let us know if they change the pickup. Terrible communication. I suggest if you have a time sensitive shipment to go elsewhere as they just get around to picking up whenever they feel like it. We've used 6 local transport companies and Central is by far the worst."

"These people would not deliver on time if it was a life or death situation! Cant get a straight answer from customer service , the terminal or the drivers! Basically took 2 weeks to get a part that was promised and paid for 3 day delivery. NO refunds, NO apology, just very ride and HORRIBLE customer service. IMPOSSIBLE to work with and always lied to! Wish I could rate NO STARS!!!"
