"I called about rebuilding a simple Holley 4150 carburetor. I asked how much to rebuild it and was quoted $600.00 . I was in shock because my last carb rebuild was $150.00. I He told me it would be cheaper to just buy a new carb. I asked why So much and he said the parts are very expensive. I looked up the kits online and they are $52.00 on Amazon! I called another local shop in Gainesville Ga and he quoted me $200.00 and they have been in business for over 40 years! Obviously this shop does not want your business and I would recommend calling around to get a reasonable price. I've decided I will just go ahead and do this one myself."
