"Under new mgmnt so older negative reviews are illegitimate. I had expert and professional service. Estimate right on money. Very pleased.."
"Dropped my jet ski off in July. Didn’t hear anything from them. After 3 months I went in to ask and the owner told me he was the only one there that could work on the jet skis and that he would be getting to mine soon. Come December and still haven’t heard anything from them so I stop by again. A younger guy was the only one working and I inquire about my ski (which they had moved to a back corner of their yard). He proceeds to tell me that he has only been working there for two months, but had completed about 6 skis since he started and the owner had not said anything about mine (which I had to point out to him as it was toward the back of their property). I let him know how long it had been there, and he said he would ask his boss about it. Two weeks later I get a call saying they were going to start working on it. I then get a call yesterday from another worker saying I owe them $150 for a diagnostic fee, but they don’t know why my ski won’t start and are still troubleshooting it. They tell me they think the timing is off and it will cost $500 to set the timing before they can proceed any further. The man proceeds to tell me it may be something in the bottom end but the ski has good compression on both cylinders. After finding and talking to another jet ski mechanic I decide I am going to pick the ski up from them. When I go to pick it up and ask about the $150 diagnostic fee because they did not actually figure out what was wrong, plus the time that it just sat there, the man proceeds to yell at me to “just take the damn thing”. I had already checked the compression, put new spark plugs, checked the carburetor, replaced the ignition coil and replaced the stator before taking it to them. Which I told them when I dropped it off. The way they moved it out of sight and didn’t touch it for months made me feel like they were hoping I would forget about it and they could claim it as abandoned."
"They redid all the upholstery on our pontoon last year. It looked great. We keep it clean and conditioned. The boat is covered and stored under a cover from Oct - May. When we uncovered the boat 2 weeks ago, we noticed seams on the seats were coming apart. We called Jackson Lake Marine but they refused to fix this. Seriously, this is reflection of THEIR work and customer service!!!!! Poor!!!!! Definitely will not use them again or refer them to anyone unless they fix this problem. The seats are only going to get worse and so will their reviews"
""Hey Brad, we rented from you guys back in April (25th) for the full day and had a bad experience when your boat broke down around 1:15 pm and we had to swim it to the dock at the GA Power beach. Mark returned our money was very apologetic and courteous. Decided to give ya’ll a second try today (July 19th) and I am absolutely astonished at how bad your employees handled today. I reached out to Mark Ware on Tuesday July 14th and asked if you guys had availability for the following Saturday the 18th. He replied that no you didn’t, but you did have one available for Sunday the 19th (today). Reserved that with him Wednesday and gave my Credit Card information to Daniel over the phone at 2:50 pm to reserve the boat. Texted Mark this morning to tell him we were on our way to Berry’s boat dock. Got a response after we had been sitting there waiting on someone to show up at 9:56 this morning stating “I’m at the fire department today I tried to call Daniel Yancy to make sure he is coming”. I asked him for Daniel’s number and got no response. Luckily Berry the dock owner had your mechanic's number (Shane) and called him to reach out since Mark wouldn’t give me Daniels number to contact him to find out what was going on. I spoke to Shane Plunkett on the phone and he stated Daniel said I NEVER GAVE HIM CREDIT CARD INFORMATION TO RESERVE THE BOAT AND THERE WAS NO BOAT AVAILABLE. Berry had to relay this information to me through Shane, NONE of your employees would talk to me and explain whatever happened. Does Berry work for you? Or do Shane Plunkett, Mark Ware and Daniel Yancy work for you, because they definitely dropped the ball today. Your employees did a piss poor job of arranging this rental and following through with a boat rental I have in text message (screenshots attached) that we reserved and in fact gave Daniel my information over the phone to reserve it. To my understanding you are on vacation at the moment according to Berry, your employees will run your business into the ground before you get back at this rate. My parents drove down from Charlotte, NC to specifically join us today on Lake Jackson. That’s a 4.5 hour loss, an hour loss waiting on your non-existent employees at Berry’s and honestly a day wasted. I am severely disappointed in Jackson Lake Marine and hope nobody else rents from you with customer service like this." I have yet to receive any explanation from this company."
"Went here to look for a used tritoon trailer. Met with I believe was the owner (Brad, I think?). He was very helpful and honest with me about what he thought I needed after we discussed my boat type. He could have easily sold me what he had there, but instead he steered me into a direction that he thought would work best for my setup, even knowing it meant I wouldn't buy from him (because I was in a time crunch). I can't say this type of customer service is around much anymore and I can guarantee you that I will use them for any service moving forward."
