"The credit services department is horrible. They sent me an email that a payment was overdue. So I called the credit services department. The agent I got on the phone didn't speak English well enough for me to understand her. She kept telling me I was past due and tried to take payment. I finally hung up and called back. The second person spoke better English and told me that a payment was processing, that they had received it on the due date, and that she would update the account. The first agent was just determined to take my payment. Never bothered to look to see if it had already been made. And her English was horrible. I thought Home Depot was our neighborhood hardware store. If you're going to send credit services overseas theb at least make sure they speak English well enough to speak to the people in that neighborhood."
"I had a good and bad experience yesterday. Went to this location to buy a heater the website showed 9 being in stock. I found the heater section, but the one I wanted was not there. I stopped 2 employees walking by and asked is there another location for heaters. They both said this is all we have. I was not satisfied with that answer. I waited until 2 more employees walked by and asked for the specific heater that was showing 9 in stock. They both pulled out their devices and asked for the sku#. They found the heater in another location on a top shelf (out of reach for customers), still in the shipping boxes, so only sku number was visible. I thank the employee and ended up buying 2 items giving them over $219 in sales, simply because 1 employee took the time to check on my request. I was very disappointed in the first 2 employees not will to take 30 seconds to look into my request. This is why the 3 star rating. I'm sure it was an oversight on the store to not have all the heaters out on display during cold season."
"So there's a display stating that pick whatever tool you want they're only $99 a piece. I was interested in DeWALT circular saw (DCS391B). When I got to the register it rung up $200 so I told them this was a mistake and they asked me to go back there and take a picture. When I bring the picture back they tell me they need to get a manager. Then why would you have me go take a picture? The manager shows up only to ask me to walk back there again so we can look at it together and I explain to them it's going to look the same as the picture I just took. Clowns. Then she begins to tell me that it's the wrong circular saw on the display. So you mean to tell me everyone up here is the wrong one and you're not going to honor the price you're going to charge me $200 for something that's $99 they offered $50 dollars off but again we're talking about the special is $99 so this is still not a deal even if it was the wrong circular saw which it wasn't you should still honor the advertised price. I verified the model number on the saw and took a picture of it. She tells me the model I want is a wood saw and this is a metal saw. I explained to her that the blade is going to determine what it will cut. We're talking about a manager here LOL some of us actually work for a living so I can't go back and forth with them all day as I have work to do. So I proceeded to drive to the Marietta Home Depot on Roswell Road. When I walked in they had the exact same display. I verified the model number was the same as the one at the Cumberland store. I put it in my buggy and checked out for $99. The Cumberland store really needs to get their business together. The people that work there are not knowledgeable nor do they honor advertise prices. Anyone shopping here needs to know that assignment means nothing as they will just make up the prices when you get to the register depending on how they feel. The manager's resolution at the Cumberland stores to take $50 off $200 and sell me a $99 circular saw for 150. That was their resolution as opposed to just honoring what they have advertised which was really the correct place in the first place. Probably came to this store because it was convenient to the job that I was working at. I will actually never shop here again and wouldn't encourage others not to as well"
"My favorite Home Depot store. Returns are quick and efficient, and the other day no less than 6 associates said Hello… how are you doing! What I like best - this particular store which sits very near HD corporate headquarters seems to be the test spot for new products. If you see something unique that you like, you should buy it. During a visit to GA a while back I found a light-weight, well-made caulking gun and didn’t buy it. I loved it (I get excited about odd things!) but I thought I would buy it when I got back to PA. But the PA stores didn’t have it for months (and in a slightly different model). Parking is a little congested (tip… park to the right side and walk a little farther). The store is a little older and quirkier than others, but I love their trial products I can’t find elsewhere."
"As I expected, The Home Depot was clean and organized. I was able to go to the exact aisle and bay (that I had researched online) and find exactly what I needed. The employee I encountered at self checkout was friendly and helpful. I’m happy to say that this is my local Home Depot!"
