"On Black Friday (my first time every shopping a Black Friday) I purchased laminate flooring from Home Depot. . at the time I purchased it they told me about a special install price $497 for under 1,000 feet. I had a guy so I wanted to check with him first since he had already done work for my family. The holidays came and went. I went to Gunbarrell Home Depot on January 28 (the last day of the special) to purchase the install for $497. HOWEVER, I was told now that I even though the special install price had been extended I was not eligible to purchase it because you had to buy flooring for at least $1.99 sf. SO, why did they offer it to me when I purchased it (and also on subsequent phone conversations with their flooring department...no one EVER said a word about that detail). NOW I AM TOLD THAT THE 500 SF I WANT TO GET INSTALLED WITH COST ME $2.00 A SF WHICH WOULD COST ME $1,000 (NOT $497)! THAT'S WHAT I CALL A BAIT AND SWITCH. THEY KNEW WHEN I PURCHASED BY FLOORING WHAT I PAID FOR IT. SO, WHY DID THEY TELL ME WHEN I PURCHASED IT THAT I COULD GET THAT INSTALL SPECIAL? Not happy with Home Depot."
