"Well, it took me 5 months to leave this review because it's hard to when someone is nice to you...that gets you one star...but friendly does not equal good or acceptable results. After growing my hair for 3 years and taking months to research & consider many different salons to finally get it trimmed (I had been doing it myself) and highlighted...for which it hasn't been touched in 3 years, she convinced me she was an "older woman's hair specialist". What a nightmare. I wanted my hair to look pretty for my daughter's law school graduation, so this was a big deal to finally make a decision about. After the 5 hours I spent with her while she tried to correct what she'd put in my hair (I specifically told her my hair pulls up orange so a toner or bleach may be needed-I hate the orange tones), it still turned out orangey; I was exhausted & my scalp couldn't take another application/wash/rinse. And, I had to hurry home to start my remote job, which I was now running late for. So, when she didn't offer a discount or anything, I didn't have the energy or strength to get into that. I just paid and left, but looked at her for a minute to give her a chance to do the right thing. Nope. Then, when I had myself together again the next day and texted, she never responded. I texted again a few days ago, and she still didn't have the professional courtesy to reply to me. After the first wash-in of something she said would closely match my current natural color but give the roots body, and it turned out with orange tones, she kept mixing different other things in to try to correct it, none of which worked. It also didn't add any body, literally no change there. But my one supposed saving grace was that she said it should wash out in 6-8 weeks. It has not changed one iota and it is now October! So I have had to look at this every day, as it grows and doesn't match my natural color, but she gets to move on with no consequences and not even the courtesy to say sorry or offer a partial refund. Everyone else here seems to be greatly satisfied; I guess it was just my bad misfortune, but I say visit her with caution. If it goes wrong, you've been duly informed. I am left to believe she cares more about keeping the money (which IS NOT the issue) than communicating when something goes wrong so the client at least feels like she cares. NEVER AGAIN."

"My hair is straight at the roots on top, cat-sucked-straight underneath, and wavy/curly in the middle. It has a mind of its own! I am a retired horse trainer, riding instructor, clinician, farm manager, show groom, show coach, bookkeeper, etc, etc, etc! I need a hairdo that is crazy easy, handles all kinds of weather, wind, rain, humidity, and is great looking with a little finger-combing when I need to go quickly from the barn to a meeting looking tidy, current, and professional! Every time I've told a hairdresser I wanted a cut I could wash, scrunch, and go, I've gotten a "fixed", "formal" "little-ol'-lady" hairdo that never looked as good as when the hairdresser fixed it! Rebecca knew right away what I wanted and how to cut my hair so it was attractive and easy to fix. BEST HAIRCUT IN DECADES!! She is reasonably priced, very comfortable to be around, and knows her stuff! I highly recommend Hair by Rebecca!!"
