"I was at Bethany Place for 4 years, i went in with trauma of my past life to get help and work through it all. I got saved the very next day i arrived and i am thankful for that because i know my life has changed truly for the better. Nivia did an excellent job teaching me every day and loving me for who i was. I will always be grateful for learning more about how to do things and also learn more about God-and i did. But, I will not accept the hurt, trauma, anxiety, and emotional and physical abuse that i received from Sandy Reed. I had just come out of abuse, just to be put back into more of it with her. The number one thing i learned from being there was strength. And I CAN do all things through Christ who strengthens me. i just thank God he gave me the strength to get through it all. please don’t stop praying for this ministry, because it does need all the prayers it can get. "I was a resident of Bethany Place for 6 years .When I came I had a 3 year old son no job , no skill , no future . Sandy and Mike opened up their home to me and took me in as one of their own .Now I want to stop here and just say i love Sandy very much but if you think I’m here to just say what a perfect person she is I’m not .Sandy is a human being that loves God with all heart the best way she knows how, there is not one fake thing about her what you see is what you get . We fussed just like all families did and had our differences but she never one time walked out of the room without saying I love you and you are somebody special and important to God , I can remember the first time she said that it was so strange but the more I heard it the more I wanted to know God and that kind of love . The most valuable thing I learned there was how to have a relationship with God . Yes I went to cosmetology school and got my licenses ,yes I saved and got my own home but to me that’s not the most important ,my relationship with God is . Since I have left Bethany Place I still haven’t always made the right decisions in every situations and I’ve made mistakes but I know to run to my Heavenly Father and pick myself up and start again and that is what Bethany Place is all about being able to function in society in a normal life . I still visit Sandy with a greatful heart of all the things I was taught while I was there !"

"I've known Sandy Reed and her ministry Bethany Place for about 10 years. My Sunday School class has volunteered here over the years and never seen anything of a questionable nature. I personally have been a recipient of her help when I lost my job several years ago and she opened her food pantry to me numerous times. I've watched ladies come into the program broken and a hot mess and leave here a new person and a compliment to society. Many of them had no support system or role model to teach them how to be a good parent and citizen. They get that here. Sandy has devoted over 30 years of her life to helping women and their children and her dedication is remarkable.
